Attaching a Com Unit to a Chapeau not working?

Hey guys, I've encountered an issue I can't quite figure out.

I've got a Drab Com Unit here, and a Green Chapeau. The Chapeau currently has a Heavy Pipe attached to it for the Helm Front slot, and the Helm sides slot is empty. The Com Unit refuses to attach no matter how many times I choose to remove anything on the helm sides slot although there's nothing there to begin with. So what could be wrong? Theoretically this SHOULD just work.

Hmm

Might be a bug?

In any case, the Com Unit doesn't work well with the Chapeau. The visor covers the com unit when in the normal overhead view, all you see if an odd looking antenna sticking up.

the same is happening to me,

the same is happening to me, but for my armor

Im trying to attach a canteen (which is a armor front accessory) to my tabard while it already has a vitakit (which is a armor back accessory)

it should work, but its saying "this armor already has an accessory of this type. Remove it first"
