Similar to Team Fortress 2 and it changing special event/holiday crate keys to normal crate keys, I suggest, rather than rid of the candies (thus in my mind, work to get those candies wasted) that the candies be changed to normal tokens or other items.
If this has been suggested before, tell me, also tell me if three rings already plans on doing that.
Free items are free and easy to get. I'd rather keep them as tokens. Unless OOO is generous to make them into CE, I could go for that.
I just want something to do with the 50 sweet candies I have that I got while getting that dang sour hood. I've gotten all 3 masks and I don't feel like getting the other ones. Just give me something to dooo with them
get more authentic masks, who knows, maybe you'll be able to sell them on AH someday, maybe
Actually if they WERE to do something with em after the Halloween event ends, I'd say a minor mist tank of like... 5 ME per token... as a suggestion about what to do with em if they don't? Eat em, it's candy.

However, if they could be changed into, idk, 1-5Cr each, then that would give people another reason to collect them. Wouldn't affect the Economy much, I think?, but would make Players feel slightly happy by actually getting something. Hey, better something than nothing eh?
How about letting you buy real tokens with candy? Not a one - to -one conversion, but prehaps 10 candies = 1 token? Or mabey a higher price? I dunno, this will probabaly go down like the heat threads, as juances mentioned. Unless they already decided to convert them to regular tokens, and it's not impossible that they planned that from the start. 3 candies, 3 tokens, same colors. This could already be in play, who knows. Bear in mind, it's a temporary event; so they probabaly won't change much of anything.
I figured it was 3 tokens because of 3 masks. Personally I'd like to see them reuse the excess tokens for the next event as a supplementary prize like trading candy tokens for unique materials during the Thanksgiving or Christmas events.
They could also design a Vending machine that converts tokens into pointless goodies we could use in town. Citing Guildwards again, the transformation potions and party favors are player favorites to pull out during off seasons and freak out new players.

Sort of like how World of Warcraft will reward you gold on quests if you are unable to earn anymore exp? I think that's a great idea!
I like the crown idea 1 - 5 crowns each.
My idea is: Put in candy slot machine in after they remove PK.
bets can be 1 - 3 candy you only get crowns and maybe chance at CE.
This would make fun for players aswell as give them extra crowns and or CE
... so why not turn candy into money? In the real world, you must get money for candy, but now, candy could mean a little more change in your pocket.

It could never be done in a way that will make players happy. Too little value in the conversion and players will [tart] about it (just look at the free crowns from the prize wheel). Too much, and suddenly you inject a sizable amount of crowns into the system... and blah blah we know where this is going.

Halloween candy tokens are insanely easy to get (you can farm a depth 1 floor for 10 of them per run), and changing them into actual tokens would trivialize the work that goes into finding those real tokens, thus reducing the value of token items to almost zero; not just monetary value, but the rarity and pride associated with them as well. Is that what you want?
