I was thinking maybe for Christmas we could be given the ability to give presents to other spirals. An example of presents would be giving them items that were originally bound to us, but can't be unbound like costume items. I know this could be considered an exploit, but perhaps the unbinding would be offered along with giving away the item so we can't just turn around and put it in the AH.

I just say this because personally I have some costume stuff I don't think I'd ever touch again and I think something like the rose regalia would make a nice Christmas present for our fellow knight. Pretty much have a small period where we can just giveaway the item whether it's soul-bound or not.

(I actually will be going away soon and be returning December 13 so I thought I'd make this suggestion early).

Unless a special secure

Unless a special secure system is created, I could simply 'gift' my bound stuff to an alternate account and then sell it without paying unbinding costs.

The other option would be to add the Gift Wrap of TF2 for a modest price.

Someone, somewhere, will

Someone, somewhere, will always look for a way to exploit things and I'm aware of that. It's a damn shame too, but I think it would be nice. Maybe as you said for a modest energy cost we could get some gift wrap. Still, it'd be nice to take some of my stuff and give it to another Spiral Knight.

Maybe they could make the unbinding costs really low for the holidays?

All that would happen is a flurry of "You gift me x CE/Cr and I'll gift you x item."

At the same time there's no

At the same time there's no way to secure such a trade if someone was relying on gifting back and forth. If the person decided not to pay on either side then I don't think OOO is responsible to fix it. They do try to reprimand scammers but I don't think they investigate every case, especially if it was like a gifting exploit.
