Greetings Three Rings. First of all, I believe SK is an excellent MMO game. However, the last update in my opinion negatively affects the previously high reputation of the game. The main problem I encountered was the price of accessing new content. First, it started with the high price of the silver keys needed to open lockboxes for accessories. This I could deal with since the accessories were not a major change. When I received the shadow lair information, I was excited to discover what else the game could offer. But when I read the new gates needed shadow keys, I became doubtful. I looked in the AH, and found out the keys were EXTREMELY overpriced, the lowest bid being 200k crowns. Multiply that by 4 to get the minimum cost of exploration of the new gates, and you have 800k crowns at least. Converted to CE is approximately 13.5k CE. I believe I am correct in saying that over 90% of SK's players would agree that 800k crowns is an excessive amount to pay for exploration of the new levels.
Proposed Solution:
Make a system in which the initial access cost to enter (per player) is 100 energy. Then every descent is 50 energy. This would make the shadow lair accessible to the majority of tier 3 players. If this isn't enough, revive costs could be scaled up to double that of normal tier 3 play.
Alternate Solution:
If the shadow key system were to be kept, then they could he put at a vendor for 500 CE each, which would be reasonable. In addition to this, elevator costs could be doubled, but revive costs could stay the same.
Please consider one of these solutions Three Rings. The shadow key update has caused players to quit. I know this, because UV items and recipes in the AH (quantity) have fallen. Improving prices on updates would make everyone more satisfied. More people would pay money for the content at reasonable prices, and more people would accept the system. In this case, it is a win-win situation.
