We already have weapons that are awesome for RJ runs. Those weapons are "anything except piercing weapons", since constructs and slimes are neutral/weak and v.v. respectively to shadow and elemental. Given that weakness to a particular damage type only grants you something like a 20% buff, just picking randomly between a shadow or an elemental sword would make you just as effective in the RJP as going with a theoretical shadow/elemental split sword.
