Do you mean that the ME bar never drains? Or that the ME bar can recharge as large as your time away from the game?
If the ME bar never drains, then elevators are effectively free and everything with an energy cost is 100 energy cheaper to do ALL THE TIME.
If the ME bar has no limit, then people only need to be patient to be able to pay any energy cost in the game. You would see a whole lot of alts so people can exploit the system.
Either way, all of the responses in your other thread still hold. If you want to play more than 100 ME a day, then someone has to pay for it. Whether you pay yourself or you buy CE that someone else bought is irrelevant. If SK is to remain a game, then there has to be income for OOO.
The mist tank shouldn't be infinite, or if that were the case just removed, just larger or fills faster. I'm of the opinion that by allowing players to enjoy the F2P aspect more OOO would be able to retain more new players who would eventually be willing to pay to do more.
Most new players quit when they find out they have a choice between playing more levels or crafting that new weapon they want and having to wait till tomorrow to try it, if OOO were to change their system so that buying CE became important only after getting pass Tier 1 I think they would see a greatly improved rate of players staying with SK instead of quitting it because they find themselves too limited early on.
its brutal, but i think the current system works well enough. we all start the same way but we got over this learner's curve so can the newbs
that aside it is possible to perpetually play by playing the profitable gates and converting that into CE to continue the cycle, there's nothing to fix. it's not easy but it does work out
It is only important after Tier 1. To enter Tier 2, you need 2* gear. Crafting 2* gear requires 50 energy an item. Easily doable with Mist Energy.
You had mentioned that you run out of mist just as it starts to get good. That's the point. Personally, I believe that if mist tanks were larger and recharged quicker that you'd have an influx of players, but very few paying customers. Additionally, people who currently buy CE would buy less. Larger volume of players, but less sales...
This feels like yet another this-game-is-free-2-play-and-I-deserve-to-play-more thread. So I feel compelled to ask the question that helps fully paint the picture: Have you or would you ever pay $$ to OOO for CE?
I have occasionally paid for CE, but the testimonial I'm referring to are actual game reviews posted on major gaming information sites, almost all of them criticize the game for forcing players to cough up cash to early and too fast, its not that its overly expensive (unless you want keys of course :P) but people quickly find themselves having to pay even a small amount on what advertises itself as a 'F2P' game.

now this is utterly untrue and i should know i have NEVER dropped a dime into this game.
this game is F2P it requires no money in order to play, which can be proven even in a court of law, and like all F2P games they have incentives to get players to monetize none of which are required. You made the conscious choice to drop a few bucks instead of learning how to manage your assets.

Why would there even be CE if ME was unlimited? That means no income for OOO and no game for you to play.
I agree that it takes a long time for you to gain the crowns to buy enough CE to craft the better gear but it can be done.
What I don't understand is why CE and ME is shared across multiple characters on an account but nothing else is. If items are crafted using that shared Energy, then why is the item bound to the individual character and not to the account? Plus you can't easily transfer items between characters on your account. I'll stop now since these are items for a different suggestion.

The reviewer issues and initial ME shortage would be easy to address with a better tutorial system and redoing the mission structure. New players are actually given a decent number of Mist tanks (consumable) to feed runs, but people often fail to grasp how precious it is, and often waste it on ressnig and early item crafting. And the early assignment of the T2 clearance mission doesn't help in that regard.
What about if in the prize wheel there was a slot with 20 mist? Though I agree there shouldn't be an increase in Mist or any change to how the game operates in relation to the acquiring of CE. But a small chance of winning a bit of mist would be cool.
It would make sense for the size of the mist bar to be linked to your highest tier achievement.
T1 - 100 and current recharge rate (call it base charge rate)
T2 - 200 and double base charge rate
T3 - 400 and quadruple base charge rate
This would mean that higher tier players can craft lower tier items for no CE, encouraging them to support newbies. It also rewards players with more than just upgraded access for achieving higher tiers.

So if you have 0 energy, regeneration would be 1 energy per minute(example values, should be tested first)
Once you reach 15, regeneration becomes 1 energy per 3 minutes and so on....
This means you can play all day, but only on intermitent periods, without going too far down or allowing you to craft anything with more than 1 star.
Can someone let this post die? OOO will never let there be any type of Energy unlimited for free ever. Please, if anyone has more suggestions, don't continue this thread, because the name itself is a bad idea.
Increasing the Mist regeneration rate without an associated $$$ cost defeats its own purpose. If it decreases your reliance on CE, then its a bad idea...
IE, if you want to play for 4-8 hours a day, you better be willing to pay into the system one way or another.
i will agree that a larger mist tank (and/or faster recharge), would be beneficial to SK, if you read game reviews the biggest beef people have with SK is that the mist tank runs out just as things start to get good, forcing you to start paying for CE just to continue.
OOO should consider that though people may spend less CE, they will probably be able to retain a larger number of newbie players by making it possible for them to experience more before they have to start paying.
