I think it would be beneficial if one could see the theme of strata from the gate map. Currently (unless I am mistaken) the only place we can see it is on the dormant gate menu or by reading the totem in the arcade, which isn't that user-friendly, or by guessing from looking at the upcoming levels, which admittedly is pretty easy, but still not as easy as having an icon on the gate map itself.

This has been suggested

This has been suggested before, once by me, so clearly I like this idea too.

See:
Gate Map and Theme Recipes
Strata themes should be visible on the gate map

I find I'm missing this more since loadouts were added to the game because it doesn't take as long to reconfigure your setup.

Yes, we need this. It should

Yes, we need this. It should show you the name of the level as well.

... but I should notify you about this:
The name of the level appears on hover.
Experienced players can infer the theme from the name of the levels in the gate map. For example, if it has arrows (not question marks) and it has Candlestick Keep - Noxious Night , the theme is probably poison + undead. Of course, you have to check on more than one level, to be sure.

By looking at a poison

By looking at a poison Candlestick lvl, you can only infer that the strata is either undead or poison, but not both. if we are talking levels, then it is undead and poison. So, if all the levels in that strata were candle stick ones, and they were all poison themed (that would suck) we couldnt tell if the strata is poison or undead themed (not like it matters). Im assuming that you think there is either two themes on a strata, family and status, or we want the theme for each level. we only want the theme for the strata itself. In a regular scenario, it is very easy (you dont need to experienced, only in reading and common sense) to tell what theme it is. If it is all wolver dens, it is beast, if all the names are related to shock and there are mixed monster families, it is shock. This idea would be conveient though, i like it.

You don't need to go into

You don't need to go into such detail to show you understood my post. I don't care.
