Use for excess heat: overheating weapons

So we collect heat sparks, level everything up to 10, and then... that's it. They serve no more use, other than to entice others who haven't hit level 10 on everything to health-revive us when we derp up and die.

There's been other suggestions on what to do with the heat: converting it to crowns (no) or energy (double-no), using it for a super-charged skill during the level like a large knockback or speed increase or whatever (meh).

Here's my idea: have the heat go on to the weapons beyond level 10.

Basically, the heat scale would go as usual from 1 to 10, then if everything in your inventory is at 10, it would extend into an "overheat" section where the damage output or protection level would scale continuously up to an "11" level as you collect more heat.

This overheat would then cool off again over the next, say, 24 or 48 hours back to just a regular level 10.

I thought this was going to

I thought this was going to be about being able to turn heat into UV rolls. I was disappointed.

I don't really like the idea of this just because you would feel like you need to heat your stuff prior to doing new content. Also, it makes it harder for 000 to balance, since they don't know if your items are level 10 or 11.

I like this idea. I also like

I like this idea. I also like the UV one, though both seem rather hard to balance. It'd be interesting to make it so that you could transfer the level to a UV though, only on 5* or end of line weapons (as in, heat it until 10, then roll one-three UVs with the heat, same as if you were crafting, or even make it so that you could end up not getting a UV?) Or perhaps make it so that a secondary "UV" bar is there, like nicoya suggested (As in, when a weapon reaches level 20 it has a chance of gaining one UV (only if you want it to), and then at 30 2 uvs, and then 40 3 or something. Still hard to balance.

Another thought- maybe heat is only used to level stuff for a reason? People have suggested stuff forever, and nothing has been implemented, so it might be to entice us to earn more weapons to heat?

Seems like this would have to be manipulable though. If I'm leveling a 4*, I wouldnt want to have any of my over-heat go into other, already leveled, items.
Though it should have to be blocked in PVP.

Cool

Not a bad idea, though doesn't Heat for 5* equipment take much to level up? Unless you did, say 2 times a tier 3 it wouldn't mean much for the weapon... and tier 2 and 1 wouldn't make go up at all the weapon... so I don't think it could mean much of a difference if it is a temporary effect. Unless you would extend that duration to, say, a week.

The UV idea seems cool and better to me, and for 5* could work as said at 20, 30 & 40, because it would take a lot of time for high level equip... though if people helped each other and took a low level weapon to tier 3... maybe those could need 25, 50 & 75 for tier 2 equip (3* and 4*) and 35, 65 & 99 for tier 1 equip (0-1-2*). It would also give value to the Heat CE item.
