Real Answer: It may happen in the future, but when it does we'll probably need MORE than just 5 stars for equipment at that point . . . seeing as you put on 4 or 5 star equipment to even go into Tier 3. And with that would come more equipment tiers, more upgrades past what was once 'ultimate' equipment . . . basically, it would be a ridiculous amount of work to do, but it'd be possible. Vaguely possible. About as possible as Sonic the Hedgehog and friends making a cameo in Spiral Knights or Spiral Knights in the next Sonic the Hedgehog game (e.g., 'the faintest of possibilities don't hold your breath').
