...I myself am not a big user of non-status bombs, but I've seen some ideas that revolve around my idea, but I am not sure of any weapon thread that hit my statement. The bomb is similar to the Roarmulus Twin air-launching rocket attack, where rockets are launched into the air and then fall into random points of the map. Also, because of the nature of the weapon, it could be released every New Years' Day week (Jan. 1). Recipe sets are sold, originally coming from the Fire Cracker bomb as a new line. As you can see, it only goes up to 4*, since you are able to purchase the entire set, maybe for Buying Energy event or maybe 20,000 crowns. I don't know, but here it is:
----2*-Fireworks Machine
Description: Every time Cradle makes a trip around the central star, Gremlins come to the surface to wreck havoc, even though they do so unintentionally. They have recorded that some entities launch rockets into the sky to watch fire erupt from the heavens. Well, they did not realize these devices actually do send rockets upward, but so low it causes fire to erupt from the ground they stand on.
ATTACK: Once charged, it is put on the floor. Then one rocket is launched and randomly falls around the diameter of the bomb, able to explode the size of the average Blast Bomb, but able to cause Moderate Fire. The launcher decays once the rocket is launched. It deals 1/4 the bar for Normal Damage.
----3*-Fiery Hailstorm
Description: Just last solar age, Gremlins came up with this device, but still cause unintentional catastrophe. It was said that the first machine of this kind was so dangerous, when set off, even Vanaduke himself went up from his lair to cease this madness. Sadly, the Gremlins only chased him away with the weapon. Then he came back with his mace.
ATTACK: At the diameter of a Super Blast Bomb, two rockets are launched, both able to have radii of a normal Blast Bomb, and have a fair chance to cause Moderate Fire when fallen. The launcher decays with the ability to cause fire in the decay location for two seconds. It deals 1/2 the bar for Normal Damage.
----4*-Solar Maelstrom
Description: Originally in myths that Tinkinzar created the hole that led to the Clockworks using this machine, but now that it's in your hands, it seems impossible to do so. However, it makes a great weapon!
ATTACK: It launches four rockets into the air with and accuracy so terrible, they may land where ever in a diameter of the Nitronome, each with the explosion radius of a Blast Bomb, as well as the launcher exploding with a radius of a Crystal Bomb. Each has a good chance of causing Strong Fire. It deals 3/4 the bar with Normal Damage.

EDIT: When launched, the rockets that appear leave behind streams of varying colors, and when landed, release a color as well when detonated. Keeps the New Years' perspective a bit more

@Aumir Thanks for the heads-up! However, I would rather have a bomb stay within the SK range, usually able to cause only one status problem and goes up to 4 or five stars.
@Oakgear It's a type of bomb, as you can see in the last two stages where the launcher is used as a weapon besides the rockets. As for the 2* one, it's an event weapon. The closest thing I can relate it to is a bomb, so what else can I relate it to? A non-portable gun/rocket launcher? I don't think so. Therefore, it could be named a bomb at this moment. I see where you stand, but as for now there is no weapon that can do such attack, and I want to keep it in the realm of Bomb-Gun-Sword. What do you suggest? I would love to hear!
Um, well, here it is another I already posted in the Bomb Suggestions topic. It fits well also this topic, so here you go:
> Rocketwork: A bomb that at first was to be fireworks to celebrate when we got to the energy source. We still got plenty, so we can spare a few for battle (and enjoyment!) purposes! - This bomb would consist of a rocket with four little bombs around it. You would set it and after the activation signal and detonation command, it would propel itself like a tier 2 rocket to an enemy target, though you would be ignored and safe of its initial blast. After hitting an enemy it would generate a small explosion like a mist bomb, though with good knockback (but not as high as blast bombs), it would release its 4 bombs in a X shaped form with an angle depending of its impact direction. These small explosives would then generate a 2* blast that would have minimum knockback (like the Spine Cone) and low damage that would inflict status effects: One axis of the X would get Fire and the other Shock. Different paths in its upgrade line could give it more radius to the initial blast or to the following, give it another status effects or just centering it in damage, upgrading it to a six point star or even a eight point star, or upgrading its targeting function to tier 3 rockets. It could be a very customizable bomb with many, many paths.
The "activation and detonation" is because I thought about "remote bombs" (another person also posted that before me in the same topic much to my embarrassement XD ). You can put the bomb directly in the ground without charging, but to explode it it must first ready up (rocket ignites) and then you press attack button again to make the bomb explode or, in this case, start the Rocketwork.
