I contacted support about this but did not receive a very satisfactory reply, to be honest. I don't want to make one of those "mad with support reply, so go make forum topic and rant" threads, so maybe I should just log it here and hope for a better answer. Maybe even a knowledgeable player can provide a workaround:

The reply was effectively a solid "no", and in case the GM replying did not understand: I was basically asking for someone to clear out the test server side of my account before it was ported. Right off the bat I don't see why this is such a big deal, considering we are often encouraged to delete and re-make our test server characters so that we can receive new testing material.

Can another GM please clarify why this is not possible? I didn't bother to delete the characters and then port over to Steam, because I logically figured that they would move along with the rest of my account, as the prompt stated. I think it is a tad unreasonable to have any character permanently locked away, never to be seen again under any means. (Unless anyone can think of a work-around - that would be great.) But of course my thoughts probably don't mean much anyways.

I know it's just the test server, but the name is sentimental. The very worst that might happen is my own loss of interest in the Test Server, which doesn't have much meaning in the end to anyone but me. But it still seems odd that these characters would just be left floating in nothingness, when the fix is so simple (presumably). :/

(The thing is, these test server characters are the old ones, still on SK's side of things, and so I don't think this is something I'd have to go to Steam Support for either way.)

Thanks.
