sometimes you have a tone of heat at the end of a level, and it just doesnt have anywhere to go. your eqiupment is all level ten, your weapons and amour and it simply just goes no where.
Heat Brewing, you will have a bottle or other form of container, which can be opened at the start of the level or anywhere in it which collects the Heat you have at the end, you close the lid/ bottle top and youve got a brew of heat. this could be selled to other knights or a merchant or both, (both preferably), giving you a little extra while helping someone else fill their items heat bar. they can also be usd on unbound eqiupment or to sell or trade. can also be used on unbound eqiupment.

questions you may have?

1Q- how much would it cost to buy a bottle?
1A- it would be around 500 to 1000 crowns, knights selling this shouldnt have to pay too much for a container and it shouldnt be too much for people buying either.

2Q- if people wanted extra energy, wouldnt they just use the heat amplifier instead?
2A- using the heat amplifier is more, it may get you more energy over a long period of time, but really an instant effect would come in handy. espicially when you havent got any ce, which is another reason why a container should not be too pricy and over the energy prices on the market losing the plot, so its cheeper and easier to get, instant, and would give the seller a reason to smile as well.

3Q- how would people know how much Heat is in a bottle without being ripped off?
3A- people would know as there would be a heat rating, like a heat bar to show amount or maybe a level. when trading or in the auction house, simply dragging the mouse over it and keeping it there, like you would for viewing weapons, armour etc.

4Q- how long does it last?
4A- it would be a usable and therefore permanntly in your arsenal untill sold. it may be activated anytime on the level, before you get on the elevator. when you do get on, it will bottle your heat to be saved for later, again as a permanant usable. how much heat

5Q- if someone wanted energy, wouldnt this idea kind of ruin the idea of selling it?
5A- no, it wouldnt as if your out of ce and you want to up grade your new item still, but dont have one already filled then you would buy one.if it still doesnt work out then a new merchant or improved merchant in haven, (idealy boost), then hes willing to but for more then the container itself.

6Q- wouldnt it be more usefull if it was activated over a length of time?
6A- maybe it would, but should still be limited to a number of levels, idealy 3. or perhaps the containers could come in different sizes, and each last a different length of levels. example, small bottle- 1 level, medium bottle-2 levels, large bottle- 3 levels.
either this or the bottle closes when it reaches a certain point, also solving how much energy is in each one to prevent buyers being ripped off. different size bottles would be able to get different amounts of heat before its topped (had the lid put on).

The thought of it closing when its reached its full, sounds good to me. should have 3 sizes though, either way, should not be over energy prices to ensure fair deals. May mostly sound like a buisness but can be used on your own eqiupment later, would not ruin getting heat in future as containers will be roughly 1 levels worth in a small size, 2 levels worth in a medium and 3 in a large.

no heat is one of the few

no heat is one of the few incentives to make knights go through the clockworks in the first place

well if you cant sell it to

well if you cant sell it to other knights you should still be able sell it to boost the special items merchant, or, that knight thats trying to patch up a mecha-knight in bazaare, maybe he pays you to fetch him energybecause he thinks it will fix the mech.

"no, heat is one of the incentives to make you go through the clockworks" is actually a rather vague comment. as the entire point to going down in the clockworks is the fun of it, fun of facing wolvers and the like. getting tokens is another. and you have to go down into the clockworks to fill a bottle and buy the bottle so thats another point.
the main one is fun though, so bottled heat wouldnt stop you going down into the clockworks. theres no where esle you can smash up a few small animals or metal men or large monsters, really how it should be without this idea and with it, doesnt matter, the point is its fun, to go around and adventure. so people will still go down into the clockworks.

fine a more indepth reason is

fine a more indepth reason is that heating items in this game is basically the grinding aspect of this game if you remove it then OOO loses potential business via the energy required for heating runs and time since players can just skip heating an object

I like this Idea

I like this Idea and Sizuki is right about us going into the clockworks to have fun last night when I was playing I realised that that having fun was the reason we play and the only reason.

Heat as a tradable resource

Heat as a tradable resource causes problems when you factor in Heat Boosters (which Three Rings push pretty hard as a bonus for certain paid packages). Selling to other players would allow folks who're just in it to get better gear to level up all their stuff without getting their hands dirty.

Disallowing sales between players, and just allowing sales to Boost, is potentially even worse, because it turns it into a potentially enormous Crown source. SK's economy needs Crown sinks, not another wellspring. Also, it gives the top-tier players - who already have so much money that they've got the in-game economy grasped firmly by the unmentionables as it is - even more Crowns, because they're already farming T3 levels in fully-Heated gear.

I see where you're coming from - you'd like an application for collected Heat beyond levelling equipment. But this is flawed at best, disastrous at worst.

so then maybe you cant sell

so then maybe you cant sell it to other knights. but you should still be able to sell it to a merchant or that guy patching up a mecha knight in haven.
otherwise heat just becomes useless when all your gear is maxed.
if it gives too much cr then maybe bottles should be free from the merchant/mechanic, so the price stays around 1000-1500cr

*sigh*

Heat becomes useless when your gear is maxed for a reason - it encourages players to craft new gear, which increases CE consumption, which increases Three Rings' income from the game. The main point, which you might've grasped if you'd read past the first two sentences of my last post, is that turning Heat into something you can sell to vendors increases the overall amount of Crowns in the in-game economy, which is the direct opposite of what the in-game economy needs. If anything, selling to vendors is worse than selling to other players, because vendors have an unlimited supply of Crowns.

so its because of ce issues.

so its because of ce issues. right got you. i did read your first two posts, propaly, but the way i read it was about crowns. i see where your coming from with ce, but you need crowns to buy the recipe. i dont know now i geuss.
i reckon there should be something a little more rewarding in heat though, maybe, if you dont have any gear that isnt level ten, maybe the heat can go towards getting a better spin on the prize wheel at the end of a run. or does it already do that? if not, it should.

Vials

How about adding in a fifth pickup slot specifically for heat vials? Keep the bottled heat idea, but instead of making them reusable heat, change them to weaponized items instead. In a pinch, you can press the hotkey and throw a vial for a sizeable explosion (say, comparable to a Big Angry Bomb). Limited use, but I'm sure there are plenty of situations where it might be handy, such as getting crowded into a corner by Arena Mecha Knights. And, if you find that you have more than you'll ever need to use, you can just drop them on the ground for your teammates to throw.

overload charge.

used to power an extra weapon is also good. you could get a overload pod, a weapon that is needs charging with heat that can be bought in haven from the weapons merchants. this device is a battery like shape, with a different look depending on its type. could be different categories each with different charge sizes and power and maybe even with up to 3 ammunition slots, types are based around staus's, so one type will inflict fire, another will be static and so on. would be different from other weapons as this inflicts tremendous amounts of damage to a large area with strong status's. would be different from a bomb as it could be either thrown/shot a distannce or would be instant, could also have levels affecting strength, range, status's and so on.(replaces categories).
maybe a whole new slot could be made for this, it would be like a knights ultimate power.
