What if when you are talking to Strangers it is actually SNIPES talking?! It makes sense, you never see a stranger alone with a Snipes but Basil.
I just had a crazy idea about Snipes.

King Krogmo is a snipes. But he's a spy snipes. It makes sense. They need to get back at us for invading their planet and herding them into roofless houses. What does a bird do in a roofless house? It flies away. But there's someone at the door!
How does a bird get back at these invaders? He puts on a spy outfit and pretends to be an diabetic lizard. Then he makes the invaders fight each other to the death.
