Down load the Spiral Knights
Down load the Spiral Knights Game directly from the webpage, sync your account to your facebook, and then use the SK you just downloaded and log on using your facebook, viola, when steam lets you down there is a solution.

I can't log into my steam
I can't log into my steam character on either their client or SK's own client. Yet I can log into my non steam character on both clients just fine. I don't think the problem is entirely Steam's fault.
Thought I could be wrong, I'm clueless as to what is going on.

i think it might have
i think it might have something to do with steam going into a possible maintenance state a few hours go, so my guess is valve messed with something that apparently broke the connectivity between steam and the SK servers

Does it again. This maintenance seems to have effected, Steam Store, Steam News and Steam Community. It's probably some change in how Open Steam ID is authenticated.

Yeah all my Steam games work fine too, EXCEPT SPIRAL KNIGHTS!!!!! This is bs! I wish there was some sort of heads up or warning before any update or maintenance was gonna be done. You post that link but I never got that message and thats the first time I ever saw it. I'm pissed. I've been siting on 100 ME all day completely unable to deplete it AND! i have an elevator pass so I'm just losing money (real money mind you) every minute this continues, and given OOO prior track record i dont feel i'll be given any compensation especially now since they say "its Steam not us" even though its the ONLY steam game that doesn't work.

Nothing on your end has changed, ok. But other steam games work fine, its just SK having trouble letting Steam players in. Maybe SK player database is just logged out of Steam?
Try rebooting the game.
"We have an unexpected reboot in 10 minutes" certainly not the best news, but... waiting for 9 hours for the scheduled maintenance reboot is worse than that. Thats my personal opinion as a Steam player :)
If its entirely Steam fault, why other Steam games (including other MMOs) work just fine? Why am I able to log in and post on forums using my Steam ID? Maybe its not entirely Steam fault but failure of communication between Steam and SK? We know that you know that the problem exists, and we know that you do nothing about it. And thats the worst kind of knowledge we could have. Its better to stay quiet than to say "but we didn't change anything! It must be THEIR fault!"
Either try to fix it or make it look like you don't know there is a problem.

PS: elevator pass 1 day wasted.
