Try fighting an army of T2 jellies/wolvers without any piercing protection on your armor or shield. I highly doubt you'd last more than a minute.
Depends on what you're doing. If you're doing JK, then yes, piercing is great. For FSC though? Nope, pretty much unneeded unless the only damage you take is from floor spikes for some reason. You do know that different monster families do different kinds of damage, so your gears should have every type of protection and be changed according to the strata theme?
(Anyone else totally unsure if they should reply seriously to this guy's threads? I'm all for helping newbies, but his history...)
