So I finally got the chance to run through Briar Bone Barrage. I got to the final room and expected an epic battle against the dread Toxilargo.

What I got was, well... something not quite so epic.

Two suggestions:
1: Give the Toxilargo the "Dash" ability that the giant lichen colony has.
2: Spawn a pair of them rather than just the one.

Or, possibly, do both. Though if both are implemented then it might be a good idea to put a few low walls around the room so that you can, say, try to keep one on one side of the wall while fighting the other on the other side.

At the elevator. ZERO energy! What kind of Juju you created here!!!

As well, is BBB in T2? I haven't seen Toxilargo and I don't really count it as a miniboss. A Grand Lichen Colony in T1 Danger Rooms/T2 are harder that a Toxilargo through obvesation of you video and experience with a GLC. So I agree with your suggestions.

It's a type of juju that

It's a type of juju that costs exactly $6 to perform, and comes by the name of "elevator pass".

Since it leaves a poison

Since it leaves a poison mist, a dashing ability won't potentially flood the enitre area?

+1

The Toxilargo is a major disappointment, and it needs that buff. Heck, I'd love to face two, no, three of them at the same time, with the same aggression as a regular giant lichen colony!

Also, -1 to Fropps.

Y NO POISON CLOUD?

Poison is a debuff, not a cause of direct damage. Meaning that even if the Toxilargo can charge around and fill the whole area with poison mist, you'll be stuck poisoned, but your health won't tick down every second and make it impossible for you to fight. Your attacks'll just deal less damage, that's all.

WRONG!

@Metagenic "just deal less damage, that's all."
but you won't be able to heal and die quicker too.

Now I'm thinking of making the spike spin more powerfull, sending more projectiles in all directions,. Same for the ground spikes.
Maybe also add some respawning lichens/Polyps that can heal it. A weak poison Royal jelly.

definitley needed

The toxilargo needs a buff
I completley agree with the spawning of two or even three of them and i don't mind if the poison mist gets scattered everywhere as though poison is annoying as hell that should be the challenge XD. After that fixing dash and ground spike would make it perfect!

also as an added bonus maybe make it break into 3-4 toxigels upon death ;p (not as if they will be much of a threat .. )

either this or add a danger room to briar bone barrage and have 3 standard jelly/undead waves with a current strength toxilargo spawning each round and maybe even 2 in the last round. because the current briar bone barrage is disappointingly short and lacking the proper challenge it seems to promise.

Pulsars need a debuff.

Watching that video, I think the pulsars need a debuff at least as much as the Toxilargo needs a buff.

You shouldn't be able to stand that far away from a large enemy and keep knocking it back like that. It makes the knight too safe. Nerf the knockback from the pulsars and/or halve the damage.

@Icee I went down again

@Icee I went down again yesterday and did the fight with a silent nightblade, and it honestly still wasn't that hard. The only trouble I had was I tried to shield too much which resulted in my shield breaking on the otherwise mostly harmless poison cloud, leaving me open to tanking the occasional attack.

The toxilargo never once used the ground spike attack that the giant lichen colonies seem to spam endlessly, and instead just alternated between a regular tackle and the spin-thorn attack.

Had I shielded less (hilariously) I probably would have, again, taken virtually no damage in the fight despite the battle supposedly being a T3 miniboss.
