For the purpose of this discussion please advise which topics deserve their own thread, which topics need more explanation, or simply make a brief comment for the simpler suggestions. Because of the size of this list, I decided to post what I have done so far and progress it when possible. I will number the ideas when they have an explanation I am satisfied with.
Here is a basic list without the explanations so you can quickly find topics that interest you.

When all of someone's health is lost, a red picture of the "boss" icon appears in the party list where their health usually is. I would like to see that icon change color when someone has already given that person health. It would also be useful to give everyone some indication directly on the knight in the case of multiple downed players. This should remove situations where each other player risks running to a body in attempts to revive someone who doesn't need it.
A person who has reached level ten with all of their equipment is essentially wasting all of the heat earned in that level whenever they use the next elevator. I would like to see an option for giving or selling a more needing player this unused heat, an icon to indicate who has equipment which hasn't reached level ten, and maybe an option to make that heat useful if there are no other players in the party.
Making silver keys more available
I find the cost of a silver key is beyond unreasonable, to put it nicely. I would like to see them as a reward for completing a danger room. There could even be a time requirement or a survival element, if we need to be that stingy about getting a reward that usually offers no other benefit than a slight change in appearance. I understand there may be more conditions required to limit the amount of shadow keys available. I simply find fault with the current effort required to get something as useless as any accessory.
I think this one would look nice, but it is purely superficial. For what I imagine, the arrow cursor would be fine while a player wields a sword, but I would like to see something like crosshairs for a gun. As for bombs, I'm not sure what cursor would best represent them, but I would like to see the blast radius circle appear while the bomb is being charged for more accurate placement. I think it would also be cool to see a change in cursors for a weapon's charged attack, maybe even a different cursor for every individual weapon. In any case, this might offer players who frequently cycle their weapons faster recognition.
Currently, given a player who uses a mouse to aim his attacks and when there is a target directly left or right of him on the monitor, the player will have to aim the cursor north of his target for a direct hit. I would like to see my knight project attacks in the direction the cursor is actually pointing. This change would probably take some getting used to for everyone accustomed to having to adjust their aim, but I believe long range attacks will feel more natural after the transition.
As we all know, it is far too difficult to talk to a group of people who aren't in your guild. There are probably more solutions for this than I could possibly list. While a simple xbox live style "start a party/join a party" might be ideal, it could create far too much activity. I think a more realistic option would be the creation of whatever number of chat lobbies that can be handled at once. Then, groups of people could join these lobbies to talk to anyone else there. This idea would need to include options for inviting people, the ability to ignore lobby chat from whomever you choose until you leave that lobby, the option to ignore all chat except the lobby, and a preference for ignoring all members by default. It could also potentially include the ability to become a "lobby leader", or the person who joined the given lobby earlier than others, and would remain "lobby leader" until leaving that lobby. Some "lobby leader" abilities might include things like naming the lobby or anything else inconsequential. Integrated voice chat would be a nice touch too.
I am unsatisfied with the number of appearance options available without spending unnecessary amounts of crowns and energy. If crafting an item as a costume with no stats or bonuses for even as much as half price, then it would be far more enticing to spend wealth on crafting purely for appearance. It may even be fun to see costume only recipes.
Forum suggestions
It was during the evolution of this very list that I realized there is no easy way for someone to tell me about topic links to the issues I mention here. I was expecting to see some kind of private message system, like every other forum I've used, but I don't believe there is such a thing here. I will settle for seeing the links as responses, although private messaging would make the more helpful comments much easier to find. Things are also made difficult by the lack of search filters and thread subscription options.
Such a place could be useful for personal notes, biographies, or trading information. I'm sure many other games have this feature, I see no reason spiral knights shouldn't.
Ideas: Topics that might improve the game, but might also require elaborate scrutiny
There is very little incentive to spend energy bribing King Krogmo beyond the chance of getting an extra token. Even if someone does, they lose out on all their spent energy if they cannot get the winning team's tokens. I would like to see people who donate energy to the bribe get to vote on game modifications, with each point of energy spent counting as a vote. This would add some much needed variety to pvp games, not to mention inclining players to spend energy bribing. Some of the modifications I imagine affecting every player would be something like...
Disable armors, helmets, or both
Increase or decrease attack speeds
Disable one of the three classes
Increase or decrease capture times
Force one random item to be equipped in place of loadout choice (same for everyone)
Increase or decrease respawn time
Allow only one class change
Big head mode
Extra fast movement
At the very least, perhaps only those who donate should know what the reward is and how to get it.
New Gun Suggestion
Rocket Launchers
This idea was inspired by the variety of forum topics for guns, bombs, rocket launchers, etcetera. I think including a type of weapon that attacks like a gun but must be charged like a bomb, would satisfy several of the ideas that have been expressed. This category could qualify for weapons like rocket launchers, mortars, beam cannons, bomb/grenade launchers or even sniper rifles or flame/lightning throwers. These weapons would have to have better range and better damage per hit, but I think requiring them to charge, and possibly remain stationary while charging, would keep them from outshining existing guns.
There doesn't seem to be a place for this idea within the clockworks. I imagine this would be a fun idea for fast travel between safe zones once the core is unsealed. I also like the idea of being able to customize the traits and equipment for some kind of vehicle or mount required for this fast travel.
There are few options besides vials to help defeat enemies. I would like to see more variety by adding powerups that grant temporary effects either immediately when walked over or collected to be used like health pills. Alternatively, it could allow for some interesting tactical decisions if the existing vials could be spent to generate powerup effects. Some powerups might be...
Invincibility
Increased attack speed
A Lockdown style bubble shield
An instant large explosion
Doubled attack knockback
Multiplied movement speed
A gremlin style health regeneration circle
Increased attack range
Life drained from attacked enemies
A cyclone that slows large enemies and keeps small enemies away
An additional moderate chance of causing a random status with weaponry
Orbiting attack drones/satellites either shooting automatically or shooting when the player attacks
Again, just to add variety to the game, I would like to see turrets that a player could take a seat in to fire it's weapon. I imagine the basic turret as a machine gun, like an autogun except it can turn while firing, does not stop firing, but has no charge attack. There could even be more variety of attacks for explosive shots, area effect beam attacks, a slow but high damage shot, or a spread of ordinary bullets. Just for fun, there could even be a turret that only shoots hearts. It might also be nice to have temporary weapons that are similar to turrets except mobile and having limited ammunition or a short lifespan when activated.
Enemy Radar?
There are few occasions when the camera angle actually changes, like when fighting vanaduke's mask, that occurs during combat. Even there, the angle allows for better avoiding attacks, but it is too close to have any use keeping track of where the mask is. I would like to see camera angles that better show incoming danger. It is always irritating to be hit or killed by an attack that could have been avoided if you could have actually seen it. It would also be nice to see different options for the distance and position of the camera.
I don't really imagine this ability would be practical in any situation. This idea was inspired watching the bomber gremlin attacks. The realistic implementation would probly be the addition of a shield or trinket with a "bomb launcher" ability or the addition of those gremlin bombs. I could see the "throw" activating when the player double clicks after a charge or if the player holds the shield button while releasing the attack button. Then, the bomb would either fly in the direction being faced or possibly be lobbed exactly where the cursor was. Another idea was a bomb launching emplacement where a charged bomb placed on the device would be hurled in the direction it is pointed.
If there were a graph showing the price of crystal energy for the previous 24 or 48 hours, updating everytime the price changes, it would be easier for everyone to tell if energy prices are rising or falling without needing to sign on multiple times per day to compare with an earlier price. There could also be a static graph showing the energy price history for the previous week, but I don't know exactly how this would be helpful. This entire idea would probably just be frivolous knowledge, perhaps with moderate utility.
I personally cannot see the value of choosing the big angry bomb over the nitronome. I also think the shard bombs are far too difficult to use. I would like to see bombs with different patterns and capabilities in order to make them more appealing. If the big angry bomb detonated twice, it would not necessarily kill an enemy twice as fast, it could just blast away two layers of enemy mobs. If the projectiles from the shard bombs flew in a spinning pattern instead of straight, they would have much better chances of connecting with a target. It might also be fun to see bombs that detonated three or more times or have bombs that shot constant projectiles for a short time, but offered no knockback, maybe even temporary sentry turrets.
I imagine any weapon in the game, but particularly bombs, could benefit from having multiple stages of attacks depending on how long the attack button is held. For example, the avenger's only charge attack would exist as it is and would also be used for the divine avenger's first charge. Then, if the weapon is charged long enough the current normal charge for the divine avenger would be used for it's second completed charge attack. At the very least, I would like to see every bomb have two stages of charging. Right now every weapon has a basic attack and a charge attack, but bombs only have charge attacks. If bombs had two stages of charging, it would show more consistency where the bombs first charge would represent it's basic attack.
I have found this idea less necessary since many of the monsters homing attacks have been removed. It may still provide an useful skill for avoiding rocket puppy missiles, ninja gremlin instant strikes, or the new skeleton leap attacks.
There are times when troublesome player behavior exceeds their speech or choice of language. It would be nice to know a feature exists that would prevent chosen players from appearing in groups with you, and prevent ending up in a random group with them. For lockdown, this should also serve to separate people who want to exploit game mechanics from people who have any sense of sportsmanship.
Personal Preference: Topics that I believe will improve the game for me at the very least
Right now, either all players or the winning players can be rewarded bonus coins or bonus items. I would like to see more options for who is rewarded and why. Anything to benefit players who make the game more enjoyable for everyone. This would encourage more variety of gameplay than just trying to be the best at exploiting the wolver suits. Some of these options might include players or teams that...
deal the most damage with guns
deal the most damage with bombs
deal the least damage
inflict the most status effects
move the greatest distance
move the least distance/stand on one point the longest
eliminate the most obstacles
capture the most points
earn the most defense points
attack with the best accuracy
most hits or damage with charged attacks
have the greatest ratio of kills to deaths
have the greatest ratio of kills to damage (whoever gets the most kills while dealing the least damage)
end the game in a draw
Standardized lockdown
Clean Lockdown.
Lockdown Balance
Rental Lockdown
Dishonorable Knights
Standardize equipment cobalt or unique
Randomize equipment per lobby or randomize equipment per person or randomize equipment per death
Reward players who don't exploit
Design a rating system so players can designate exploiters
Give strikers gun attack speed reduction
A low/non-damaging environment interaction attack
Keys and the like
attacking/picking up objects
