Hi. Let me tell you a little about myself. Im a swordsman. Only use one gun. A heavy pulsar. Rarely. I am interested in becoming more gunman like. I haven't because of the topics I am going to present hereafter.

Now Im not saying I have a problem with gunners. This is only to address the issues spiral knights have put on gunners from my point of view.

First, the easiest problem- Movement.
This topic also affects swordsman as like gunners, so I will be brief in explaining as it affects us all. How do most people move in spiral knights? Keyboard. If you want to go up, you press up and so forth. But what if you want to go up while aiming in any other direction? You strafe. You have to aim first in the direction you want to look then hit strafe and then aim in the other direction.

Now why docent OOO just make it so that you always face the direction of the mouse and no setting the mouse position always to the center of the screen? I t would be so much easier on gunmen as they could walk in any direction and aim in any direction. Personally I hate having to move my mouse from the center of the knight every time I change direction.

Hello again, continuing from

Hello again, continuing from the last post.
Second, my most percutant problem-Armor and its looks.
Have you taking a look at any of the gunman armor? Are they not hideous? The gunslinger slash line simply looks childish and even toyish. Shadowsun slicker is to a certain degree the only acceptable armor. Honestly, they could have done a much better job in the drawing board.

You do have a couple of options that could look fairly nice. Of the monster line, you could follow as it being the truest to gun theme, Gun puppys or a more interesting design Devilites as design a theme.

As a side option, a falcon or hawk design would be a cool theme for gunners with the option of creating bird monsters.

Step 1: You can do the

Step 1:

You can do the movement like you want (if you couldn't nobody could ever be a gunner). Open up your control config and scroll down to where it says "Move North/East/South/West" and "Face North/East/South/West." Make sure the keys you're using to move are NOT mapped to "Face North/East/South/West." Success!

You don't have to use the strafe (and most people don't).

Step 2:

Gunners have a long list of problems from inferior equipment to lame armor, which is described here:

WASD to move, mouse to aim, with that I can waltz around enemies while shooting them to pieces often with little difficulty...

lol, I guess I'm the only one who still uses the mouse to move (only with swords though). I use WASD with guns and changed shielding to Q to be closer to Items and WASD (for when I have to switch quickly to a gun)
So, yeah, I use both keyboard and mouse to move.
