Knights, we all know that our greatest assets on our dangerous dives into the clockworks are our squad mates fighting by our side.

Fear a new level design where we start off separated from each other and must fight to get back together. This would encourage people to run parties, as each player would only have access to 1/4 of the level or 1/4 of half of the level, depending on how the gremlins construct it, and thus more players means more map covered meaning more monsters fought meaning more loot.

Unfortunately, this would defeat the point of playing as a party, since you'd effectively be playing solo, and it would leave solo/small parties with half the map to explore.

.

Yeah, this sounds like "we force everyone to play solo whether they like it or not, but if you tried to play in a group we arbitrarily give you extra crowns." I don't see the upside.

Also, what happens if someone joins while the level is in progress? Normally you drop in at another player's location, but that breaks your concept. So you'd need to have special code uniquely for this level that drops players in...at a corresponding point partway through another of the independent tracks? That could cause a number of different problems...

I could only see lvl like

I could only see lvl like that as a special scenario room or some kind of side mission since it will require a diffrent code and also the difficulty of this lvl would be bigger (since every player is alone, when one die, noone can rev him with his hp, only CE revs).

Perhaps this could be used as a scenario for a mission, like for the missions that are currently in-dev?

It might better idea would be to split a party of four into 2 and 2 rather than everyone on their own- and also allow the choice for who gets to go with who, so that the players have the the chance to still cover their damage types and defenses between the party. For example, what happens all are split, and one person goes down? Do they have to wait for their teammates to reach the elevator? Will they have to sit there? That wouldn't be fun.

How about this:

It supports your idea, but at the same time gives another sense.
A Splitable Party button.

As long as every player is on this party button it'll activate, and every party button selection that supports this idea will replace the iron gate with an activation of a 1 way gate. This will be supported by if the person who fails, dies, and you're on a party button they'll teleport to you. Therefore, if they mess up with this, it's not like it's broken, because you can still get on a party button without them, and if you need to do that room (like you need the keys in jelly king) you can still enter it, but you can't exit it until you beat the room. Therefore if I beat my room, but my friend messes up, I can run in there still.

Lets put jelly kings area into play.

In depth 16, at the 2nd part, there's 4 party button areas
Top left: Which has 2 turrets, and 3 jellys, then 2 turrets, 4 jellys and a lumber, then 4 jellys 2 turrets 2 lumbers and 2 wing series.
Top right: Which is the spike arena
Bottom right: Which has the 4 buttons with the green jellys
Bottom Left: Which is the series of finding a button going to the next room to go forward 4 rooms.

So there's 4 areas, and 4 party buttons right? Plus, the game is up to 4 players? Player 1 stands on the top right rooms party button, player 2 top left, and so on. We all are on each rooms party button, and activate every room, effectively soloing them.

Player 1 beats his room early, so he can enter the 1 way gate of players 2 3 and 4 to help them out
Players 1 2 and 3 all beat their rooms, but player 4 died, but they dont' feel like dealing with his room since he died early, and they're all low on health, so they get their 3 keys and run up to the party button on top, and because player 4 is dead and they're on the button he Teleports to him.

Therefore: If there's ever 2 party buttons+, and there's more then the players that support this, they can split up and beat the rooms separately or beat them 1 by 1. There will also be the normal party button, that requires the entire party to push down in order to activate.

@Darkbrady That's kinda the point. It would encourage playing as a party since if you got one of these levels then you get more crowns.

I hadn't thought of that. There are a few possibilities, starting them at the start or end of the level.

@Asukalanforum & Buckdida Perhaps

@ Quotefanboy Also perhaps, but I would think more like that section in FSC where a party can go left or right, and most people can go left.

It encourages being in a party for the extra crowns but not true teamplay .
