I got t2 clearance for my alt account yesterday but i didn't get a mist tank... is this because i have an elevator pass? Or do alt accounts not get mist tanks.
No mist tank :(

You get a mist tank for doing
You get a mist tank for doing stuff (reaching T2, etc) once per account. If you have multiple knights on the account it will only happen for the first one that does it. It is designed as a way to make sure people don't give themselves infinite Mist.

Because, if alternate Knights on the same account received Mist Tanks upon progression, you could farm Mist Tanks by continously reaching Haven, using it and delete the account, and there you go; an endless supply of Mist Energy.
Gwen is a ninja because I'm too slow clicking the Save button.

you can't trade mist tanks anyways (i've tried when I had one and was on my elevator pass)
I'm guessing the latter. I didn't get one for my alt in Haven.
