I wanted to claim my Sonic CD items, so I tried booting up Spiral Knights. It came up with a black screen that went to and from my desktop a few times, then just stopped, and apparently the game had closed itself out. I tried redownloading the whole game, and that didn't work either. I tried updating Java THEN redownloading the game, and it still didn't work. I updated my graphics card, and still nothing. I looked all over for help and the only similar cases I saw prompted error messages when the game crashed. I'm not even getting an error message or any message at all. My computer surpasses the required specs with flying colors, but I'll post them for anyone who is unsure anyway.

OS: Windows 7
Resolution: 1920x1080
Graphics card: nVidia Geforce GTX 560 (says it has 4 GB of memory but it really has 1, but still)
Processor: 3.2 Ghz
RAM: 8 GB

solution for me

After installing AMD driver 13.4 the game wouldnt start.
I had to reinstall a later driver 12.6 for it to work.

On a side note, I didnt have the latest java installed, early 7 point something.

Error Message

An error message comes up and it doesn't say what the problem after I hit the details. I uninstalled java and reinstalled it but it didn't do anything.
