its an odd Creature can appear in any Tier or any level.
there extremely rare to find it maybe appears every once in a while but its very dangerous much stronger than normal monsters even in tier 1.

if your able to find one and defeat it,
it could drop very rare items maybe even a Golden Lockbox.

its drops are also Determine by the tier you defeat it in.

like this :
tier 1 could be 50% chance of 500cr , 45% chance of a 3 star item , (5% chance of a Golden Lockbox)
tier 2 could be 45% chance of 900cr , 40% 3-4 star item , (15% chance Golden lockbox)
tier 3 could be 60% chance of 1200cr , 20% 4-5 star item ,(20% chance of a Golden lockbox )

It only drops a single drop.

Chances of finding this creature: about 1-5% out of 100%
but you could buy a Dweller-Bait for 450 energy from Boost in the bazaar.
The Dweller-Bait changes your chances of finding the Clockworks-dweller to 25%.
Dweller-bait only last 24 hours then its gone, or if you get the Golden Lockbox drop it will make your Dweller-bait disappear to prevent farming Golden Lockboxes.

Who ever has Dweller-Bait in use when they beat dweller will get what ever item drops or the Golden Lockbox, even if other player picks it up it will goto the player using the Dweller-bait.

I...I kind of like this,

I...I kind of like this, simply because I want that blasted Lumber Gear now...

Curse you! First I start wanting a Fang of Vog to keep instead of vendoring, and now you make me want something not even in game!

...

although, those exhaust pipes could look really cool attached to a fencing jacket coupled with a Mercurial Demo Helm...

I hate you for this, but in a good way, whatever that means.
I want nothing more than weapons. Weapons weapons weapons and nice looking armor, and
I came into this thread thinking "Well, judging from this person's grammar there's not much to expect."
and then you that monster in a bit of a lack of detail, and I didn't really think much of that.
BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT then you talked about all those accessories, and all I can say is I would
rather much have any of them, especially the V-Glasses.

That said, I'd like to make a suggestion. I would think it would be smart to turn this difficult monster
into a being that varied with whatever themed level it was in. Like, there could be a massive jelly that shifts
between cube and lichen form for jelly-themed levels, and a Devilite CEO for fiend tiers.

Also, kicking up the bait to 80% isn't a good idea. It would make the lockboxes really easy to get, and it
would be a bit ironic if items from the golden lockboxes were more common than ones from regular boxes.
I could see a dweller being something encountered with a 7% chance at the end of a stratum, like on the
last stage on non-boss areas, dweller bait could kick it up to 20% or so.

Another issue with this is that it would be a random drop like a material, and that would mean it would be
randomly given to someone in the party. Perhaps that could be dealt with?

So, let me get this straight..

Dweller-Bait + Solo Tier 3 + Elevator Pass = 5 Golden Lockboxes a day.

Just saying. I personally would just make it a super rare like a Love Puppy, with an appropriately rare drop chance of a Golden Lockbox. Dweller-Bait is an interesting idea, but 25% chance of finding it every depth? Even though you pay 450 CE for one day of it, that's less than the Silver Key. Maybe the 20% drop chance for the lockbox itself will even things out a bit.

But still, there should be a loot system for this. Whoever gets the Golden Lockbox (With exception to the Party Leader) will either get kicked or raged on for an hour.

I foresee issues..

Mostly Loot system.

I think mainly the random loot distribution is the problem, which means people would want to solo more in fear of partying due to loot issues. We don't want to create incentive to solo, that kinda ruins the game, ya know?

Normally, the bait idea wouldn't be a problem, but with Elevator Passes officially being added to the game, I think anyone with a little extra time on their hands will be joyridin' it.

maybe make it boost to 30%

maybe make it boost to 30% per stratum?, and once you encounter it, the bait timer expires.

that could work but the Golden lockbox itself is a 20% drop or lower.

Yes!

I agree with some of this, but since the dwellers are so rare anyways maybe they should 15% chance to drop the Golden lock box and it should cost CE for the key to open it.

Lumber gear, YES! :D (Bastion?)

accessory dye yes!

and maybe you could get a rare drop from the box as a usable item that can detach accessory's safely (one time use)

and also put him in Treasure vault's only so there's more incentive to actually visit those and you would have hunt him down (no penalty's for time just might take a bit)

oh and does the clockwork dweller bait stack? because if 4 people had one in the same party... maybe it should only work for party leader or something

that's all i got for now ;)

Kind of +1

Although the statistics you posted are quite game breaking, I do support rare monsters that drop rare items, and that drop rare items at a normal rate, not...

http://g.static.memegenerator.net/cache/instances/500x/12/13284/13603006...

Now that looping is "fixed", we might as well enjoy the benefits of receiving the drops from their intended source on a decent basis... I've killed > 10 love puppies at least, and nothing.

Ty for liking the idea

dweller bait shouldn't stack and and if the dweller drops the golden lockbox any player can get it if they all have bait,
but the one who gets it losses his bait the others will keep theirs.

i really like the idea i do

i really like the idea i do however think it should be more rare as said before like a love puppy. i think it should also be rare for it to drop a gold lockbox. Btw ive only seen 2 love puppies and the only mat i got from it was a piece of scrap metal :( last one i saw it in a deconstruction zone

Just to point out that

Just to point out that "extremely rare" in an MMO is closer to 0.00001%. 1~5% chance would be virtually guaranteed to see at least one every full tier. 25% chance would be quarter of the enemies in every map.
Of course, you just said "chance", and currently rare mobs have chances to replace regular mobs, s 25% chances would make it the most predominant mob in any given map.
You'd need to specify a set location or situation where it's possibly to appear, then deduce the rates, but as they are, it's about as rare as a Phantom in a Graveyard.

Also, the prizes are a bit skee-whiff. This may be intentional, but 1,2k crowns or a 4/5* item is an absolutely enormous jump, beyond all reason for a 10% difference in rates. Also, the general idea of getting 4/5* drops would only ever be considered if the mobs were as rare as random drops currently are.

Beyond that, s'nice enough. As things are, "rare" mobs are boasted as dropping unique items, and most rare mobs have no drops whatsoever.

For fiend layers, could I

For fiend layers, could I suggest something like a Devilite Janitor to be the clockworks dweller?
I mean they must be pretty strong! They do have a lot of work, I mean devilites throw office supplies EVERYWHERE.
He could be like a devilite except really muscly.
