I am using a mac book pro. Recently after playing for sometime, my character would start rubberbanding (moving around totally out of my control), and the next minute, I would be kicked out from game. When I logged back in immediately, I always find myself back in town.
Does anyone experience this too? I am not sure what exactly is the issue but is really frustrating and wasting of my mist and CE.
Your connection may have been cut off completely. The only way to check for that is to generally check to make sure your internet set up is good.
Are you using a wireless router? Wired connections are much more stable. Are you using Steam? Sometimes, Steam will drop the connection to the SK servers when they have a problem on their own servers.
Make sure your computer has all of its software updates. If you are using a router, what kind is it?
Go to www.pingtest.net and connect to Virginia or Ireland depending on which server you use and check if it's something with your internet.
To kick you out to town you must have totally lost connection with the server for some reason, not just lag and delays.
