hmmm

sounds like too beast of a 3*. I'll have to say they did ok with the nightblade. I wish my silent nighblade could deal curse though so +1 for that. Another thing, i wouldnt want to spend alot of CE just so it could deal curse/better curse.

:P

So, the OP is basically asking for the Phantom's weapon.

I wouldn't mind a second shadow weapon that causes curse...you made it have less chance of causing curse than Faust and that's good since it's not a Boss item...

Why not? :p

Well... If we were to go with

Well... If we were to go with a shadow sword that looks like a cutter... It would make more sense for it to either share the mechanics of the cutter line or of the FoV. I for one would rather it follow the mechanics of the cutter line; right now the only fast swords are piercing and normal. We could use some fast shadow and elemental swords.

But then again, OOO probably won't give us fast shadow or elemental swords, just like they probably won't give us slow piercing swords.

And a curse dealing FoV might not be all bad, either. Then again, it'd no doubt one-hit the Jelly King.

The phantom's weapon has been

The phantom's weapon has been suggested before, as a curse version of FoV. I'd back this up, and would love to use it... as long as it was kept to dealing a very small amount of damage on normal hits. Curse is enough.

Would rather see more enemies though.

@Wolfkit: Cursing Striker?

Yeah, that'd utterly obliterate JK; especially since you can obtain it with Grim Tokens. Even with hardly any chance to curse, you'd curse like..instantly.

Also, I don't like the cutter lines. I have DV Striker that is very useful when I need a Normal weapon (Due to having a limited arsenal), or when fighting the JK (Which I do for crowns a lot). As useful as it is to have it, the charge attack is ridiculously useless. Nobody in their right mind would use it unless they're in Tier 1 where nothing does any damage to you. It doesn't knock enemies over, it doesn't push enemies back, it doesn't stun enemies, you're 100% vulnerable even while hitting your target.

So, I love the way the cutter works as far as strategically and normal attacks, but its charge attack has got to be more useless than Polaris'.

I'd rather have it more like the Phantom's weapon.

@OP: I think you should also put a small chance of causing Weak curse to self as well.

cool +100

I'd prefer it to be more cutter attack style (without the ghost swings though, since they are pretty useless both in PvE and PvP)

A shadow line with attacks like FoV would be too similar to nightblade... and also we don't want something too overpowered

So to summarize, I'd like the 5* version to be a
shadow cutter line, without the ghost swings, each swing with fair chance of causing fair to good curse
Each swing will do the slightly less damage as a DVS, not counting the ghost swings (i.e. the damage of a combo will cause a bit less than 3/4 the base damage of a regular DVS)
That way, the main point of this weapon isn't direct damage, but to curse enemies and bait them to attack more.

By the way, cutter charge attack is pretty useless.... they should improve it so that enemies caught by the charge attack will flinch from each swing.
This would help by providing protection (on one side) and preventing enemies from moving out of the charge attack
