I would be entertained by a desktop widget that shows the current energy prices on the market.

game development teams aren't very big. valve has 200 employs (working on all their games), notch made minecraft himself, WoW is a 100 man team.

And it could show your current in game Mist Energy so that you can log in at optimum time :P
Make it a phone app too.
...and perhaps it could also show when friends/guild members are online?
