Good point, nightblade does

Good point, nightblade does kind of overshadow it. Having a single peice with max curse ressist garuntees you have one free slot each time though. It should be changed, but certianaly not removed.

"just delete the weapon"

I'm pretty sure OOO isn't going to listen to just 1 Person Complaining about a Sword. Get about 10,000 Signatures & they might actually Talk to you.

"this weapon is unplayable in the clockworks ... just works in the lockdown"

I'm pretty Sure a lot of People use the Faust Line in the Clockworks. Lockdown, yes, but Clockworks as well.

"The charge time take toooooo long ... and get curse alot times"

That's. The. POINT. To not Abuse the Charge Attack to Curse Enemies more Often, because Curse is a Very, VERY Powerful Status.

I take an acheron, grand

I take an acheron, grand faust, voltedge and a polaris/umbra driver to JK depths in case i don't get any curse vials. At boss charge GF then step onto pad, run forward and smash JK in the face and usually curse him (if not, repeat until cursed) hit him with a voltedge charge or two, then finish him off with the acheron. The GF attacks also clear a path through the mini jellies rather efficiently. The GF is a great weapon, if you can't use it, either practice more or don't use it.

Gran Faust.

Gran Faust is much like Polaris.

Both of them are very powerful in normal attacks, and both have useless charge attacks.

"Removing the weapon" is a highly irrational and preposterous idea though.

just after they have been

just after they have been bunched together - in preperation for the charge - using a vortex bomb.

@Melisan:

When I mention the term "useless", it may not be entirely unusable. But when there are many better options for clearing enemies out, with no risk to the user, then the previous form of attack becomes...well, "useless".

Polaris' attack is slightly more useless. But I can name a few others that I term "useless" as well.

Striker (Unless you use at a good range; it causes little to no knockback and leaves you vulnerable from all sides),

Flourish (Not Snarble Barb lines, but Flourish charge attack lines, which are only useful in very specific instances, mostly when enemies first spawn).

AP/Sentenza (Not bad, but leaves you vulnerable for far too long. Only useful if you want to use the "Eagle" which has a different damage type. Generally not useful).

Flourish's charge can be useful in Arenas when enemies spawn and you get the jump on them, but you don't want to jump into the middle of a mob. Many others just leave you far too vulnerable. Compared to these, Gran Faust is more useful really; but only for certain situations. For the most part, the charge attack is not as effective as the normal attacks.

@Severage Can't you just say

@Severage
Can't you just say that you used "useless" as a hyperbole?
You use way too much text. '-'

Ontopic, @OP:
Stop crying. If you don't like it, don't use it.
Have you ever wondered that there might be people who LIKE Grand Faust?
Just imagine your favorite weapon getting removed from the game because of an arguement as childish as yours.
Think before you post, please.

@Blue-Phaze

What's the fun in that? Examples are great.

Besides, it also makes the point that Gran Faust isn't the only weapon with a charge attack that isn't useful.

You're right on that, but I

Yeah, you're right on that point, but I was surprised that you replied six words with six paragraphs.

I still don't really

I still don't really understand why the charge time increases.
I don't see Divine Avenger with a 5 second charge time and it shoots 3 piercing swords in a wide area 9_9

Because the the charge gives CURSE! CURSE makes them lose massive amounts of Hp EVERY time they attack... thats FAAR to OP as is, so they balanced it.

If you get cursed, and you attack once or twice, you die. Its that simple.
