so I just got the awesome freakin Dusker coat, i'm just asking... should I go for the snarbolax coat, skolver coat, or the vog cub coat? 1 more.... my plate shield.... what should I go for? (like the volcanic plate shield line.... and stuff) if you answer... that would help :)

I answered this question a few minutes ago in another thread.
In essence, it doesn't matter. Pick either Skolver or Vog. Snarbolax is good as a second 5* armor set due to how difficult Shadow Lairs are. Most people say Vog for Firestorm Citadel, but once you have enough FSC runs under your belt armor isn't that important.
Vog is good for FSC (Firestorm citadel)
Skolver is better for everything else.
However, with player skill, Skolver can also work well in FSC.
Snarbolax is not a good first 5 star set. (You need to do Shadow Lairs to get it- and doing that, you pretty much need another 5 star set)
(Get one skolver or vog before snarbolax)
@Traevelliath on the other hand, someone who have only Dusker probably doesn't have FSC experience, thus it's a good advice to take Vog Cub.
I do not agree with Dark-Flare : Skolver is not better for everything else. Why would it ? Elemental is still the most present damage and fire more dangerous than freeze. And ASI vs DMG really depends on which weapon you have.
As for Snarbolax, it's Skolver shadow equivalent. It's not bad, but it's way harder to have.
Of course there are situations in which Skolver is better than Vog Cub and vice-versa. But insofar as there is a general trend, it's this:
Vog Cub offers better defense. Elemental and fire is more useful than piercing and freeze. This is because gun puppies are pretty common, FSC is fire, and slimes are pretty weak. And chromalisks are extremely weak. And wolvers are easier than they used to be.
Skolver offers better offense. This is because ASI amounts to one UV on each sword, while blanket damage bonus amounts to six UVs on each sword (one against each monster family). Even if you use your swords "properly" --- i.e. just against their preferred monsters --- then blanket damage bonus still amounts to two UVs. On top of this, the percentage increase in damage bonus is bigger than the percentage increase in ASI, leading to higher DPS.
We would give you better suggestions if you included what weapons you have or plan on getting .
