im not a big fan of the 2 hit combo way of DA so i was wondering if i should just suck it up and stay with DA.what would be better for FSC and over all?

grey owlite shield
since the vog set has ASI is the slow sword better? if i just use 3 combo swords should i get the damage increase?
Brandish all the way. I have been using it since I started, way before the patch, and always loved it. For FSC I would suggest the Voltedge line, it doesn't stop the knockback from the DA's that your teammates will probably be using like the Glacius does, and (correct me if I'm wrong here), I'm pretty sure that the fire damage from the Combuster is useless in FSC.

Brandishes were awesome, and now have even more reasons to be awesome. Combuster does work in FSC, however. Even though their isn't fire damage, the monsters ride the whole explosion chain, thus take pure damage. Also, since they are fire resistant, it doesn't interrupt freeze.
I wasn't saying the combuster would be useless in FSC, just the fire status.
Personal preferance, both are good swords. DA is not the uber-weapon it used to be, and the brandishes got a nice bonus in a recent patch. Go with a brandish to complement the fact that you use an Acheron, not a Gran Faust. The play style is similar, won't be hard to transition from, and you seem to like it.
Should also mention that for a general set (not so much for FSC), damage bonus synchronizes better than ASI with quick swords like Acheron, Flourish and Brandishes. They don't need the ASI, but they do need a damage boost.
