In my view, the primary objective of a charge attack is to do, in total, more damage than the combo, or at least show some advantage over it . And thats what actually happens with most swords: the calibur charge is omni-directional and can hit up to 3 times; the brandish line charge can cause status effects and/or hit from afar; the flourish line charge does higher damage; the DA's attack has projectiles that can hit up to 3 times, and even the proto sword has an explosion after the slash, but the troika charge, even if you do count the thawing damage the frost line may cause, is still in great damage disadvantage, and theres also the slow recovery .
Thats why im asking for something to spice it up. maybe a rock, maybe a shockwave, anything. pls.

yeah i agree with Tsu, especially having made a Supernova, i think normal damage weapons ,especially those having alternate lines offering pretty status effects, should do a formidable amount of extra damage :P
Didn't the Sudaruska used to have rocks that flew from the smash charge attack before? And then they nerfed the poor thing?
I was tempted to get a Triglav, but everyone I know says "DON'T TOUCH THE TROIKA LINES".

Hoping to get somewhere... tbh I would just stick to Calibur/carver as it is right now if you're gonna deal with normal weapons. Getting in the triglav line is an extreme waste of energy and time for a lackluster dps at 3* haven't upgraded my sword to 5*, but if it's trend continues I'll just sell it off.
Granted, it's fun to occasionally hide behind gunners/whathaveyou, charge up the sword and then have it crash down on enemies... but you'll rarely be able to get a second connection out of it's combo if you're playing with that type of player *who always runs up to any enemy and might as well be screaming die at their screen while spamming the attack button with their overstarred polaris,toothpick,SS variant* and even then you take damage if you're dealing with enough of a group...
I've tested solo both the 3* Grintovec and 3* Tempered Calibur... and the triglav makes my runs go slower than they should. Even fully heated, the Grintovec requires at least a second or more per enemy I encounter than my Tempered. Not to mention when you've got shock the second swing is nullified often. Shield cancelling accelerated the process but I still reach the end a minute- at the very least- later than I would with a Tempered Calibur.
I will see the sword make it to 5* Triglav... By whoever's deity I will.... But trust me when I say that atm, it looks like that's an investment in failure.
See... the calibur is prolly one of the best normal damage weapons... and was better then the brandishes till they upped them.... the troika is already nerfed soooo much... it makes me sad! Y-Y

+1 to changing/buffing the Troika line, or even just the charge.
The only one you can get normally anyway is the Suda, which is just okay in the grand scheme of things, but less desirable than the other two heavies since it would do around equal or less damage with the same speed and has the worst charge attack out of the three (curse is not as big a deal if you have 3 weapons or just wait it out). I used to think the Triglav was the coolest (heh) looking sword ever and I totally wanted one until I found just how face-meltingly bad the charge attack is. I don't even know how much damage it does because it's so s-l-o-w that enemies either saunter out of the way or crush me before I execute it. It would have been worth it if the "By the power of Grayskull" pose actually had an awesome payoff, but it doesn't. Due to these reasons and my awful ping (U-Verse!!!!) and even more awful gear, PVP is a hairpulling chore for me, and thus I'll probably never be motivated enough to get it to 5*.
I LOVE the sudaruska... but its almost like normal weapons are for the poor... not only is the troika severely disadvantaged DPS and damage wise, it cannot keep up on neutral damage for special weapons... ALL normal damage weapons suffer from this...
