Lockdown and Mercy Invincibility

As it is now in Lockdown, you get hit, and you have a split second worth of invincibility, just like in the clockworks (but supposedly much shortened). I personally find this to be unnecessary. Sure, one person will easily be taken down by a group but because only one hit of the group at a time can be registered then the person can output a lot of damage first. If you're being hit by 3 or 4 flourishes at once it's not like one always hits and the others magically pass through you.

So how would this affect Lockdown? For most, it wouldn't make much of a difference but there is one thing I am looking at: cutters. Because of the invincibility frames, the ghost slashes generally don't hit, even when the enemy is pushed into a corner. Either a severe shortening of these frames or complete removal would make cutters more viable weapons, and, indeed, increase the amount of variety in Lockdown.

That's a great idea. Lets

That's a great idea. Lets make it so strikers with FFs or BTBs ASI VH can just spam attack and hit you every single time. Maybe we should also take away the health decrease of the strikers. And put it on the other two classes.

At least right now they have to shield cancel first. A good guardian can use that second to hit.

As it is they already do

As it is they already do pretty much hit you every single time, assuming their aim is good enough...
Also, from what I see the invincibility frame is so small that taking it away would hardly make a difference. And a guardian can still counter them easily, as I don't think shields are even granted that same invincibility. Even if it does, then there's still some time to put down the shield and strike back.. I mean, it's not like the strikers will attack any faster or anything?

unfortunately

I have to disagree. I sometimes don't even see the invincibility frame. so i get killed instantly with the first 2 hits of btb's the combo. taking this away would just simply make me rage quit at lockdown and many others for that matter. Also your only talking about how gaurdians can counter, but if you think about it, this would screw over other strikers and recons.

I really don't get what you

I really don't get what you mean. Overall, I like the idea of adding more variety into Lockdown anyway.

*sigh*

in short...

I disagree

Taking away inincibility frame would be a disaster in Lockdown as the first 2 hits of a Btb or FF could kill you instantly

Your saying gaurdians would be fine, but your neglecting the other 2 classes

lolno.. Have you played

lolno..
Have you played Lockdown recently? The generic toothpick/skolver strikers with 2 pentas take at least 3 or 4 hits to kill by another one of their own kind, but just with the first strike. And if you're close enough the first 2 strikes can already hit! So that means that it wouldn't cause death to strikers any faster then it already does. As for recons, well I really don't see how it would change the game play of a recon at all, considering that a smart recon would not try to solo a group of players in the first place.

@stewie

I have indeed played LD recently. If you READ my first post, i said sometimes the invincibility frame appears to not be there anyway, making dieing very easy. however, a vast majority of the time, the first 2nd hit wont register.
