Dearly

I used to play spiral knights by launching steam and it would automatically sign me in that way, but now it doesn't have that option.

I sent a request for my username and I got a reply saying my username is steam:765611980XXXXXXXX (using x's for security reasons), I entered this to try to reset my password but it says:

The username you supplied is invalid. Usernames may consist only of letters, numbers, non-sequential underscores and may not start or end with an underscore. Please check the username and submit your request again.

Can someone from the technical team help me with this issue? I cannot reset my log in password simply because the username I didn't choose and automatically generated from steam will not let me.

How does restarting steam help?

How does restarting steam fix the problem?

I have the same issue, I can't log in on steam anymore, since for unknown reasons launching Spiral Knights makes my steam crash. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling both SK and steam, but it didn't fix the problem. I'm trying to play regularly (not on steam), but my username that was emailed to me was steam:XXX etc, and there's no password I know of.

Is there any way to tie my steam account to a non-steam account and get a useable username/password? Alternatively, does anyone know why steam is crashing every time SK is opened?

Login with Steam ID

You definitely can login with ur steam ID (the steam:XXXXXXXXXXXXX............)

You just enter that along with your steam account password in the SK client.

With regards to the OPs problem, restart steam/ you PC a few times.

Maybe re-install SK.
