It's all in the title. steam Punk armor. I know it's been in lots of other games, but spiral knights could really give it a good twist. Boys perspective : Awwww yeah, i so gotta get myself some of that steam punk gear. Girls perspective : Omg that is super adorable cute! I WANT!!! Just picture it.... Steam Punk... in spiral knights art style... would look awesome, for boys and girls... or maybe its just me.... hopefully it's not just me. There could not only be an armor, but a shield, sword, gun, and helm, and a super cool mecha muffler back accessory. And another idea just for the ladies... Steam punk dress? Steam punk dress doesn't sound like anything i've ever seen any other game, and could add to spiral knights unique-ness.

Ok, any comments? Like the idea? Is it to unoriginal for spiral knights? Need me to go in more detail? Would you like to see a picture of what i imagine a spiral knight steam punk would look like? Please post :3

EDIT : lol forgot about a steam punk bomb :x Sorry not very fond of bombers, but there should be a steam punk weapon for everyone

@ neudasus ...what? steam punk is the theme of spiral knights?... ummm, dunno about you, but i dont see any armors with tons of gears and steam... and it doesn't look like the spiral knights are steam powered.... soooo....

Well, does anyone have anything that would help this thread or explain why it sucks a bit more clearly :3

Don't worry, I haven't been able to figure out what Orangeo was trying to say either.

Neodasus is referring to the fact that the ENTIRE CW is steampunk, due to it being built by Gremlins. Thus, it is really the theme of SK. While the Knights themselves don't use a lot of steampunk gear, everything on Haven pretty much is.

Mercurial Demo runs on electricity, but it resembles a Mecha Knight, which is the closest normal armor gets to steampunk I believe.

Muffler back accessory is brilliant though.

i am a total steampunk geek, my email is steampoweredman, and now that i think about it, it would be boss, something like a helm with pipes that blow steam for horns, and for a gun it could be a brass thunder blunderbuss, sword, well, how about a massive, rusted wrench!

Well, if steam punk really is the theme of the game, is that more reason to have a steam punk armor? like maybe there can be this boss thats a giant steam bot made by the gremlins that drops this steam punk armor/recipe? Oh and sev, do you like the idea of an all-out steam punk armor? You didn't say. Oh and does anyone like the idea of a steam punk dress as well? Or maybe instead of a steam punk dress, what about a steam punk cloak?

First of all, what the heck is daft punk?
Second of all, are you saying you would prefer this "daft punk" over steam punk?
Thrid, just because i haven't heard of a song that you like does not mean im a kid.

Now orangeo ( and anyone else ), may you simply say if you would like to see a steam punk armor in spiral knights or not, and then explain why clearly?

Yes, default armor could pass as a cheap steam punk, but it has wrong colors and patterns. A retexture may make you happy.
Paint these like bronze/gold and put smoke on the back. Voila!

Stil, I dont think they can pull off a 'true' steam punk armor with little spinning gears and smoke,etc.
Sounds like it needs too many little details and effects on. We will call it 'Lag Armor'

No, this steam punk armor has to be all out steam punk and look epic. Also, a steam punk cloak would be cool.

the vitasuit is

the vitasuit is steampunk-ish, but the deluxe reminds me of more retro, and actually gremlins are retro, not steampunk.(besides punch and vise.)
see, i need! an epic suit with the bulk of hevay plate mail, but a design closer to the vitasuit deluxe.(with spinning gears, piston valves, exhaust pipes, and the old rusty gold with blue and white color theme included of course.)

sidenote:i have played pc games with all those gears and epic features, i didn't lag one bit unless there was server trouble, probably because i have a boss computer.

hmm.... how about stationary

hmm.... how about stationary gears instead of spinning gears? stationary gears wont be as cool as spinning gears, but i guess it will be less laggy for people with older computers. As long as the armor is rusty gold, has gears and steam, i will be happy :)
