With the exception of the gun puppies, I just killed everything in a whole fiend arena at level 26 with this. This bomb even kills Trojans. I don't know any other bomb that does that. The final wave of the final room was done by me running the loop and dropping the bomb. It's ridiculously easy. I feel like I'm cheating every time I use it. Thoughts?

Using a good weapon effectively isn't cheating.

Not in bazaar please, Mawa :)

The reason Ash of Agni is so

The reason Ash of Agni is so awesome is because it is utterly useless at FSC. Kind of the opposite really to the Shivermist really as I would take the Ash of Agni over shivermist on any non fire/greaver level.

Yay! Status bombs!

Actually, in the right levels, Voltaic Tempest and Venom Veiler are equally as effective. I'd actually be willing to say that those are MORE effective than AoA at the end of arenas at low depths, depending on the enemy types.

I routinely use the VT in construct arenas so long as they're not shock areas, circling with mechas all grouped up and shocked does WAY more damage than fire can.

The VV, on the other hand... I've killed the entire last wave in an arena in the bottom half of tier 3 with only 3 bomb placements before (partly because of lucky gremlin mender healing circle placement.) One walk around, and a big bunch of enemies hanging out on 3 healing circles, killed every single enemy, menders included.
Didn't even need to place the bomb a fourth time, nor finish off any stragglers...

The VT isn't so great against trojans (at least for damage, it does make them easier to kill conventionally) but I've also led a trojan in circles while a single tier 3 silkwing killed it for me from VV poison without having to do anything more than keep from getting mashed.
It doesn't take as long as you might assume, and it's good for a laugh.

If you want to think like that, then using Divine Avenger in FSC feels like cheating as well.

As toastnut says, you can do

As toastnut says, you can do the same exact thing with Voltaic Tempest, but the process slows down as the number of monsters decreases.

The Voltaic Tempest is my bomb of choice for 3 reasons. 1) In tightly packed mobs, it is more effective than AoA, 2) It works in FSC, 3) It slows down the monsters travel speed.

AoA will beat the VT if you can't group 5 or more monsters together, but in arenas, circling them is so easy so you get large groups of monsters all standing next to each other.

It's more effective

When you stack AoA and VT. Very good against large number of weak mobs (like mini-jellies) as they literately got melted by the bombs.

For stronger mobs, try Gravity Sword-Bomber combo.

AoA is friggin devastating

AoA is friggin devastating and I love it. I've soloed all through the JK levels with just AoA and arenas are smooth sailing. What I enjoy is jellies and mecha-knights like to give chase directly over the exploding bomb too.

Dmg increase!

What really bugs me with AoA is the fact that the ticks aren't affected by poison or dmg increases ( vs certain mobs or from gear). But it is a sweet bomb when used correctly.
