Error Message: "Either there is a temporary network outage..."

"Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a moment before reconnecting."

I've been browsing the forums for answers to this; changing firewall exception rules seems to be the most popular answer. I tried that, and even went as far as disabling the firewall momentarily to see if I could log in without it. No luck. I was playing Spiral Knights just fine less than 12 hours ago, what happened, and how do I fix this?

I just purchased an Elevator Pass and I really want to make the most out of my time with it. I'm going to be pretty annoyed if this problem persists and I lose 2-3 days of use for it.

Aaaaaand suddenly it's working.

Added Java and Javaw.exe as exceptions to my Windows Firewall. Didn't work at first. Simply restarted my computer, and NOW it works. It's odd, because I also deleted the Spiral Knights exception rule from my "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" list and didn't know the path to rewrite it as an exception, but I guess that didn't matter.

I woudn't close this thread quite yet for the sake of helping out these other two Knights with the same issue. I would try to write Java and Javaw as exceptions in the firewall and then do a hard restart first.

I also just bought an Elevator Pass, the benefits of which I've only been able to enjoy for a few hours. Now, instead of delving deeper into the Clockwork, I'm stuck staring at the splash screen.
