I just want to be able to pet Snipes. Maybe pick them up too.
In Sonic Adventure I loved how you could take a break from lightning-fast monster whooping and play with those little Kirby-looking things. That was a fully developed minigame - obviously that's not a priority for the devs right now, but a little Snipe interaction would be rewarding.
That's what you really want isn't it?
I swear, this is just one step from starting Snipe hunt...
I want a snipe garden, like a chao garden. I also want to have my own snipe, and be responsible for it, and name it, and care for it, and give it body parts of various Clockwork creatures to eat so it'll mutate into various entertaining, yet truly frightening ways until it becomes everything I've ever wanted a child of mine own to be.
...Or, you know, just the snipe garden will do. Something to break up the monotony of just running through floors of dungeons for no real reason.
Can I just have a snipe follow me everywhere wearing the top hat and monocle i'd like to buy for him?
Referencing my last post, a Snipe hunt would be an interesting quest/thing to do.
Suppose you could find snipes in dungeons, and some crazy snipe knight would reward you for rescuing them? They could take up the backpack crystal slot for each level. and y'know, be rare. Like finding one of the rare monsters.
I like the Snipe Garden Idea, I need to do SOMETHING with my 1k~ slime drops. Stuffing them down the gullet of a defenseless little bird is as good as anything else.
Also, I know what a snipe hunt is in the real world. I'd swear the devs were thinking about Snipe hunts when they named them that.
The knowledge only makes me want this more...
I think if you can pet them then you should be able to decide their fate while you have them in your hands ... pet them thus increasing your overall luck for drops for a day or so ... or tear their carcass apart to maybe find crowns and unique mats :D

Yes for petting snipes. No for picking them up. Then you'd hog the snipes and the rest of us would get none.
