So, I found a Heavy Demo Helm on Basil at the tier-2 clockworks terminal. I was happy to see it, so I immediately exchanged some crystal energy on the market to get enough crowns to buy it. I learned it on the spot, and went on about with my tier clear until I hit Emberlight.
I approach the alchemy machine to use the recipe and ..... GONE. What the heck?
I look in my inventory. Maybe I only *think* that I learned it. Zero recipes. GONE.
I look at my crowns, my energy. Both still gone, spent, caput.
This is extremely disheartening. I lost Crystal Energy, crowns, AND a recipe I'd been seeking for a long time. I sent a support ticket in, but I just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else.
To preemptively answer some questions:
1) Yes, I know where to look in my inventory to find recipes. I've learned many, crafted a dozen items. It's not there.
2) Yes, I've just searched for the name of the recipe in my alchemy window. Not there.
3) Yes, I am absolutely CERTAIN I purchased the recipe. The crowns are still gone. The crystal energy I spent getting more crowns is still gone.
Any help on this one? :/
This has been resolved.
After contacting a GM, I got a refund of the item. They looked at the logs, and it turns out I resold the item to the vendor immediately on accident. I feel sheepish, but the shakiest part of my memory was actually *learning* it. I believe them entirely.
The thing was resolved in under an hour. My compliments to customer service in this game, it's exquisite.
