The shortcut can't find the

The shortcut can't find the getdown-pro.jar file, the file used to launch Spiral Knights.

The file is usually in a hidden folder in your personal folder. "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\spiral\" to be exact. I can't think of anything that would move it from that location other than someone else manually removing it or you trying the shortcut from another account.

What happens if you start Spiral Knights from the website?

In Windows XP you can right

In Windows XP you can right click the Start Menu and select "Search..." to open a search window. In Vista and 7 you can just type "getdown-pro.jar" into the bar at the bottom of the the Start Menu.

If Search can't find the file, it's either corrupted or you just don't have it. Uninstalling and reinstalling Spiral Knights should fix it if this is the case.
