One is shadow, one is normal.
You can't compare them *generally*. That's like comparing a shield to a helmet.

Blaster is normal damage, wich means it does.... normal damage to any monster. It's neither weak nor strong.
Blackhawk is shadow damage- shadow damage is stronger vs slimes and gremlins but weaker vs undeads and fiends.
As you can see, there's no better weapon, it all depends on wich levels you will play and what other weapons you have.

If you are only going to have one gun ever & you need it to do everything then Blaster -> Valiance. If you are going to use a gun to back up swords then AP is best for most situations & Sentenza is occasionally better.

If you really have such a
If you really have such a poor understanding of damage types and a reluctance to learn about them then just keep upgrading your normal damage only Blaster until the game mechanics sink in. That way you at least won't be stuck in a situation where you are trying to kill a howlitzer with a shadow gun that will barely take off 1% of its total health per hit. Really you shouldn't ever choose just one gun. It is much better to have a wide variety to handle different situations and you should try a wide variety out to see what works for your tastes. You really shouldn't be asking us to simplify it down to a "Who would win in a fight? Who has the higher power level? Superman or the Hulk?" type of scenario.

Do you plan to use normal damage everywhere? Then Master Blaster.
Do you have a pierce weapon and an ele weapon? Then Blackhawk, so you have specific weapons for all three damage types.
Simple.
