But he's not dead.
Not sure why people are coming up with a memorial or whatever they like to think but... Boost just made friends with Basil so he's hanging out with him now. Kozma just probably told him to kick the bucket and find somewhere else to do business. So basically he's with Basil now... Just go into the clockworks and you'll find him there.
