Shield Breaking

I was playing the prestige mission for the day (The Assembly) and my Grey Feather Owlite Shield always broke from any attack, whether it was a gremlin, lumber, etc. I ended up dying twice, not too bad, but there was no real use for the shield.

Then, I played tier 1 with my dark thorn shield, and my shield broke by one Lumber hit. Is this a bug? Did everything suddenly become OP? xD

I didn't mean it was for

I didn't mean it was for everyone, just seemed odd to me (especially since I had the elemental defense against the gremlins).
