Hello,

Spiral Knights its very hard Free to play cuz even on 2 tier lvl's before Bazil i get for 2 levels about 700 cr and it cost me about ~30 mins of plaing + 30 energy so I am on waste even i do not use revive.

At the moment 100ce=6400cr so 20 energy is 0.2*6400 it means u lose 1280-700 .

SO

Easiest way to get money in Spiral Knights is stop plaing or plaing only for mist.

From my point of view it is very insane!?

My suggestion to remove it, is make more payable spending time in expedition's, for example less elevator paid(I mean energy).

It is only my personel suggestion, u do not have to do it, but situation what i talking about(waste) it is TRUE! Make something with THAT!

"Free players leave your opinion below."

I have dlc, did sahdow lairs and have multiple 5* sets made without ever grabbing a credit card.
Problem?

Another counter-argument is that if the game is too easy for free, who would pay for it?
no one pays = no game

The games does have it's flaws, but your specific problem is lack of skills or commmon sense.
If pre basil levels are bad, dont do them! join friends that are on more profitable places.

considering it now takes less

considering it now takes less than a week to be T2 with the missions (you get a full set for FREE), no.

Are you kidding me? I have several 4* and 5* equips without paying a dime. Had I saved up energy rather than used it on my myriad items, I would have (like Juances) easily been able to get the DLC still without paying real money. If you're not going to listen to what people have to say, don't post on the forums. Keep your complaining to yourself.

Even as a F2P player, I don't think a lot more needs to be done to help F2P people. Like Maeko said, with the release of missions, people can get a full T2 set within a week. That's more than enough in my opinion. It definitely took me more than a week when I started out about 8 months ago, so this is already an improvement.

I got to almost full 5*

I got to almost full 5* without paying anything, and back when energy inflation was a huge problem (Over 8k per 100)

Make Free more Free? :S

Yeah I don't see the justification in this, the game is made to challenge you. If you're hating on the game because it's "too hard" then you may want to reconsider your choice of game.

Keep the faith, you will triumph over the hardship.

As for every F2P player feeling a little annoyed at those who get ahead by payment, you should remember, they're losing money by using it on this game, so it wouldn't make sense for them not to gain something in return.

Give and take. If you play for free, you work a little harder, but it's that much more worth it. I'm a paying player myself and I greatly envy anyone and everyone with enough passion to tough it out like that. That's dedication.

"(Over 8k per 100)"
Except it never went over ~7500cr/100ce after the launch.

Yeah, I started in Summer of last year and the highest I remember is maybe 7.6k per 100. Exact figures aside, I still managed to grind up enough crowns to buy energy. As a F2P player I really can't complain about energy prices - people who buy energy are the ones that are essentially the people letting me play this game for free, and they're the ones who set prices based on the market demand. Like Localdisk said, if you're F2P you need to work hard to play hard.

You are supposed to keep

You are supposed to keep playing after basil. the money you get from the levels after basil make up for the crappy payment you get before basil.

Didn't it actually go to 8K

Didn't it actually go to 8K prior to the featured auctions?

Regardless, reducing the lift costs does not actually make runs more profitable in terms of acquiring CE without paying cash. The issue is that because players would have more crowns to spare the price would be driven up. Essentially, you'd be in the exact same scenario, only you'd be forced to play more per day to keep pace with other players.

If thats what you want to

If thats what you want to think, then think so, just don't spread false information - it never hit 8k after the game launch.

Oh dear god.

Look, for the last time. Spiral Knights IS a Free to Play game. The devs can't make it MORE F2P. The DLC thing, it's perfectly possible to obtain it without paying with cash. You can be given it as a gift, buy it with in-game things, and through Steam Trading. It's perfectly possible.

Easiest way to get money in Spiral Knights is stop plaing or plaing only for mist.
No. When I was an active player, I did quite the opposite. Seeing as I had most of the gear I wanted and was always stock-full on crowns, I played levels and (rarely) crafted with Crystal Energy. I would use my mist, to craft two 2* items. If one of them got a Low-Medium UV, I would put it on the AH. If one of them got a High-Max UV, I would put it on AH or advertise via trade chat. If they didn't get a UV, I would sell to vendor. Easy as that. And how is stopping playing profitable in-game? I'm sorry but really...

And also, before people start saying: 'Well it's all easy for you, you can just grab a credit card and pay in $$, ££ or Euros.' No, I have never payed any money towards this game as far as I know, and I obtained 20+ 5* gears through plain old GRINDING. Yes, GRINDING. With no elevator pass or anything.

Also, the highest I ever saw the CE price was about 7700, just after the elevator pass launch. It quickly dropped to around 7300 though in a matter of minutes. But the CE market is completely player-driven/ It's up to the regular sellers on the market to decide on how much the price will increase or decrease. Bug option? I really can't remember many bugs that would give players a crap-ton of CE or Crowns. Maybe the repeating arenas but that cost CE to go down elevators.

Exactly what Juances said. Without the P2P players, there would be no game. So to those F2P who complain about the P2P, it's those that you should thank for having a game in the first place. So basically - if you make everything free, there will be no game.

TL;DR. Rommil for president ^_^

F2P

This is the least expensive game I've ever played. Why? You only really need money if you play too much, or you want instant cash. Other games require you to buy a full membership package, and still try to get money out of you after that. I've never used a credit card in my life, never had any game memberships, and think this is as good as it can get. The only thing your kept from is expansion missions and test servers. It's slightly irritating, but it's not a big deal not having a random war hammer. Altogether, I like the way this game is operated, and wish for it to stay this way.

"Other games require you to buy a full membership package, and still try to get money out of you after that"

What games are you referring to? o.O

They are PLENTY of F2P out there, that only offers you to pay to have better gears more quickly. That you can play for free and have same content as a P2P player. Of course they're not like Spiral Knight, but they are still F2P.

Your argument doesn't make sense.

"This is the least expensive game I've ever played"

It's a F2P of course it isn't expensive. -_-

( I do like this game BTW)
