Ever since i started playing Spiral Knights, i have always wondered, what are we?

My Theory:

We are leaving Earth, and probably part of some military force... we launch of The Skylark and weeks after, a sudden crash happens and we escape to the planet, Cradle.

I would love to hear everyone's opinion on who the Spiral Knights really are!

Ya never know!

to my knowledge i have heard rumors of Spiral Knights being robotic. but if u renember Blades of the Fallen, you place a sword at a "Knight's" memorial. so that raises more questions!

Now with less of that guy from the History Channel!

We're clearly humanoid in nature, and our society shares similar values, but the glowing eyes and darkness under the armor constantly lead me to believe that our "bodies" are at least partly mechanical and/or made of something inorganic.

We're little round jelly-like

We're little round jelly-like creatures using the armors as mechanical surrogate bodies. It's like a tiny mecha, with the helmet as the cockpit. When you craft a new armor/body, your friends put you in a bucket and pour you into the helmet.

I didn't pay as close attention as Oakgear, but I vaguely recall some mention of robots or something during one of the mission briefing things.
