Yesterday I joined a group on a JK run. Did one level before we hit the town & I didn't have any problems with any players, in fact I thought they were glad I joined because I spent most of my time reviving these kids. We got to the town & I asked, "Do you guys want to wait on Arena?". One answered & said yes while the other two never opened their mouths so I presumed that they were in agreement. A couple of minutes later...& I MEAN MINUTES...the group leader, (some stupid name), asked, "So what about Arena!", I said "What about it?", he said, "Ok cya"..thinking he was leaving I said goodbye & then.....THE KID KICKED ME! Naturally i was pissed so i PM'd him asking WTF did he do that? After which he said he would report me....After reviving this kid TWICE in the last round & having WASTED my energy joining this group he had the balls to say he was reporting me & guess what?...just now I logged in only to find a PM from a GM giving ME a warning!...what BULL is that?....here allow me; RULES 1 + 2;

"Make sure that the player is really doing something that violates the Terms of Service. It's not ideal to report someone who is being irritating but is not truly breaking the rules. For example, you should not report someone who you simply find annoying.
Ask the person to stop the offensive behavior and let them know that they can be reported for breaking the rules"

I DID NOT BREAK ANY RULES, yet you sided with this kid without checking ANYTHING!....you think because I stuck up for myself that I deserved this? Well done GM's great job!

Some people in this world are 100% complete idiots who happen to get the good side of stuff.
Completely unfair, so I never play with them.

On a Serious Note, Name Shaming isn't Allowed. Take down the Name(Er, somewhat, part of the name).

If you were Swearing at him when you were asking why he Kicked you, you should have seen it coming, because even though you're Angry, you shouldn't Cuss In-Game.

Just File a Report on him & go through Each & Every Step with the GMs. Let me find the Link for you...

EDIT: Found it...I think.

What I cannot understand is

What I cannot understand is the GM's NOT checking the chat logs to see what happened but taking OBVIOUS sides to the person making a DISINGENUOUS complaint.

What the hell do they have a

What the hell do they have a swear filter in the game for?....don't like bad language? turn it on!...Spamming swear words around towns etc is completely unacceptable & a righteous bannable offense but again all the GM's have to do is actually LOOK at the chat logs to see that not only was this a WTF did you do that response BUT SHOULDN'T be reason enough to give me a warning.

The reason why I named & shamed is for obvious reasons. I did take a steam screenshot & as soon as I can find out where the hell steam put it I will post it on my profile. They want proof? sure, I'll give it to them.

"They want proof? sure, I'll give it to them."

Yes, to them, as in the GMs, not to Us, the Community. Go to the Link I provided above & fill in the Details.

"What the hell do they have a swear filter in the game for?....don't like bad language? turn it on!"

This is just a Preference. Some people just don't like to see Cuss Words as much as other people do. If a person happens to continuously do it in front of another Person who has it on & it bothers them, they may Complain them.

@Tfwacker

Go to your C drive > Programs(x86)> steam > userdata > large number here > 760 > remote > Number > Screenshots

The number depends on the game. Keep clicking until you find the Spiral Knights folder.

Scroll down and find the screenshot.

@ Ironskullkid: " If a person happens to continuously do it in front of another Person who has it on & it bothers them, they may Complain them".

Totally agree if you continuously use it. My point is I didn't, yet this kid can kick for NO reason & apparently can get away with it. At least other forums users can see this guys name (abet-muddled) & avoid him.

@ Xairathan:

Thanks for that. I use sandboxie & can't remember whither I ran it on that side or "normal". I'll find it later though cheers.

Woah there...

I think first you need to calm waaaayy down and get your head on straight. Yelling and making a fuss over getting a Warning isn't going to make the GMs take you seriously, in fact- I'm quite sure the result will be the complete opposite.
I'm honestly surprised that you reacted this violently when you didn't even get banned. If the latter had happened then, ok, you've earned a small right to be angry. However, most problems have solutions and even in that situation you could still submit a support ticket to OOO....but if I'm to understand you correctly, that didn't happen.
After reviewing the TOS I was surprised to see that some language is actually accepted (correct me if I'm wrong GMs ;)) in Spiral Knights, but this is supposed to be a mature game so... However, harassment (as Ironskull mentioned) isn't allowed. You could have, in your anger been inadvertently harassing the guy. But that would need the logs. In any case, the guy that reported you about it is probably going to have a huge wake-up-call if he ever sits around Haven 1 for a few minutes.
That said, all that happened was that you got kicked from a group by an idiot and no doubt complained about by that same idiot. What you experienced was probably just an automated warning that's sent to every player that's complained about. whoop-de-doo.

You can understand my..ermm...annoyance so why would, the fact that i'm standing up for myself, make the result the complete opposite?

Other than that thanks for taking the time to post.

Hmm, well, let me tell you about the game that I came to SK from:

Said game was a 'family' game, open to little kids, teens and adults- with the majority of the population being people with no logic, no sense of sportsmanship, and general stupidity. In fact, my sister, who still plays (and is playing at this very moment) is yelling at someone for cheating in pvp. Or something. She's really 'angry' typing so it can only be that XD Anyway, in this game false reports were commonplace and, well, if you were mature and just wanted to have fun you were forced to accept the whole attitude that the people who kicked you, Tfwacker, have. Just report and switch servers was pretty much the mantra. However, many people didn't like the way the others were acting (or anything else, for that matter, if some paid-for in game money was lost then it would result in threats to leave the game or general ugliness toward the GMs- which is why, when people left this game over the update I rolled my eyes) and as a result went on to the game's community forum (much like this one, but the game's GMs didn't manage it like ours do) and started to rant. And rant. And rant. Many were banned from the forum and even the game simply because of the way they were speaking to the GMs and all of those people lost the respect of all who were mature. Naturally the mature people had complaints too. But we submitted support tickets if there was anything wrong and when we did it we kept levelheaded arguments. We got our problems fixed and they didn't.

Why did I tell you this story? Well, I think one of the things one has to keep in mind when talking to GMs is that forcefulness and frustration=headache and actual levelheaded arguments=progress. The GMs have enough to worry about already so....ah.. yelling at them isn't going to help. I'm not sure exactly, it's just something I've learned about the way support works.

Ok now that I've calmed down

Ok now that I've calmed down a bit I'd like to apologize to the GM's. I'm sure they have a hell of a job trying to monitor a game like this & after reading Redfevrier's sensible post, I can see how by taking the "rant" & "un-mature" path to the forums is wrong. Please move to Graveyard thanks.
