Mission rewards are nice, but some rewards are more like punishment to some players.

You already spent hard-earned crowns on this recipe? Too bad! Have another copy.

You use costume armor like the Gunslinger Sash and Magic Cloak lines? Too bad! Have a pile of Crests.

So it would be nice if there was a vendor or alchemy machine that changed these items into something that *could* be of use - a Bound copy of a random, not-Known Recipe, a crown/energy credit towards alchemizing that item, or a different type of (untradeable) Accessory. Or maybe Sparks to trade with Brinks, I dunno.

I throw the question of what results are desirable to the forum, and the question of game balance to the designers.

Buy cheap recipe, transmute

Buy cheap recipe, transmute for not learned and more expensive recipe.

Repeat with accessories. Acquire shadow wings with heavy dragons.

Limits would be necessary,

Limits would be necessary, obviously.

Possible limitations:

Preserve the original Star rating - Transmutate a 2-star recipe, get a different 2-star recipe. Transmutate a 3-star, get a 3-star.

Limit it only to transmutating Bound, Known Recipes.

Limit transmutatable Accessories to those marked "Cannot be dropped or traded" (like the mission Crests)

Transmutation only results in untradeable items.

Limit which accessories can be created this way. (No Wings/limited edition Accessories)

Make transmutation results untransmutatable.

Add a crown cost.

Hmm. Sounds like a good idea

Hmm.

Sounds like a good idea overall, but what irks me is that you have it so it transmutes to something you have not yet learned. Sounds really cheap. You could potentially receive a boss/krogmo recipe, which is the only recipes not sold in hall.

Or, you can limit it to non boss/krogmo. In which case, just buy it at hall. This would only be viable if there was no cost in transmutation, and you get a recipe really cheap on the ah, under base * value.

Accessories, on the other hand, would be nice. Only if you make it bound and unbindable, even on equips. Might need more balancing, but doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

Hmmm... this sounds like a nice idea.
There are only SO many crests I can have equipped on one piece of costume armour at once, after all. :U
