Im wondering if someone can tell me, when does the loot actually get distributed?
Ive noticed that after someone runs over the loot, it will say whatever player got it. But if you die or dont finish the level, you dont actually get the loot. So, when does it actually get added to your inventory? Do you have to make it to the end of the level? or to a terminal? or is it when you return to haven?

Yes you do. Loot is instantly gained.
Pick up something and check your inventory if you don't believe me.
