im the kind of person that likes to have a set that includes armor, helmet, and a shield.
what would the shield for the ice queen set look like?
will it be like the Royal Jelly Shield but in a lighter blue?
or mabey there wiil be no ice queen shield but if that happens
what will i use for the set completer.
Blizzbreaker Shield
As nice as it'd be to have a matching shield, I honestly don't see it happenin', mostly 'cuz the Heater shield is the go-to Freeze resisting shield.
But if we had Costume Shield/Shield Covers, however...
would the Blizzbreaker Shield be a nice match up?
It'd match the Blizzbreaker set, yeah.
But you'll end up dropping it in favor of another shield later.

Because then we'd have to make a shield for all the other SL armours, just to match them up.
As it stands, the Sanctuary Alchemy machine has only helms and armour. If you make a matching shield for one, other people are going to complain there isn't a matching shield for the others there. The Snarby armour already has the BTS, so that would cause further problems, because putting it at the SAM will make the buyable recipe next to pointless.
That goes for Almarian Crusader too.
Unless there's something I'm missing.
The question is not if we want it, the question is how it would be implemented without making people overpowered while profiting the company.
What do you want us to do, tell you yes/no, then do nothing?
Also, see the post above about making shields for the other sets. Barbarous Thorn Shield matches the Snarbolax set, Crest of Almire matches the Amarian Crusader; other than that, just use existing shields.
Who wears full Ice queen set? How many besides you hate not having a matchign shield? (even when the breaker looks good enough)
Talking about matching shields with armors, if I were a developer I would create a Vog/Skolver/Divine/Gunslinger/Bomber shield first. Those have more potential and that means $_$
I'm pretty sure GOS fit pretty nicely with Skolver/Divine.
Not a perfect match, but it looks ok enough IMO.
Vog with Dragon Scale? Idk, my arsenal (minus the freebies) is pretty small.
As for the others, yeah, address the common issue first, then the less common. Moar pwofitz dat wai.
Well my F2P er character uses full Mercurial for everything, so I require of thee to add a Mercurial Shield as well with MSI preferrably.

I really don't see why it HAS to profit OOO, as long as it's for the game. I have more faith in the Devs. And while its true that providing for the people of OOO is important, if they wanted only to make profit, they would have set the whole system up differently. You should be able to see that.

As for the OP, yes it would be nice, but two of the armor sets already have a matching shield not from the SL, so it would be a little hard to work around.

Updates do not have to benefit Three Rings, but new content hoping to be implemented which benefits them is more likely to be implemented in terms of priority. If Three Rings made all new content restricted to premium users only without allowing CE payment, then yes; that would be horrible. My idea of profiting Three Rings extends to, eventually, encouraging people to buy CE and/or premium packs of some nature. They made dragon and Valkyrie/bird wings only available through the premium pack, which may then be sold to players who do not buy it; it still was bought by someone using real money. If something does not profit the company it would go along the lines of Howlitzers; it adds new content to the game but does not encourage players to buy CE more, unless you count those who wanted to rush into the Clockworks to fight them who buy CE for more floors. Actually, that could count for profiting Three Rings. By not profiting the company I refer to selfish ideas such as removing the energy system or making items a very small minority would want, such as this thread.

Yes, we already have shields though not everything has to be a complete set with all types of equipment matching. It may be nice aesthetically, though.
By profit I meant, as seen in the paragraph above, encourages players to send more money to Three Rings. I will never refer to profit as individual gain. I will also never give you up or let you down; nor run around, or desert you. I shall also never make you cry, say goodbye, tell a lie or hurt you.

Profit to OOO, IMO, would be anything that moves the story along, provides good content, or fixes bugs. Because generally, when you do this people will buy CE to make, explore, or rediscover. And it makes player feel less like OOO is a money-grubbing penny-pincher.

Earthboundimmortal, a LOT of sets don't have matching shields.
The many paths from the Magic set don't all have matching shields to them.
