I'd like to use the Heater Shield and Divine Avenger with my Vog Cub gear, but they don't match. Id like to have the Blackend Crest as a costume for my shield and maybe the Fang of Vog as my costume sword. I imagine the costume sword/weapons may be a bit far-fetched but i think the costume shield is completely reasonable.

+1 to costume shields (or shield covers, as one poster put it), though I think there's been a thread of this already... or it's been mentioned in other threads. I'd also have to agree that costume swords/guns/bombs wouldn't be desirable; if you're just using a sword for looks, it's not going to do you any good in the one place others can see it: in the Clockworks.

Costume weapons would be a bad idea, think of how people would use it in LD.

See my striker? KIDDING! It's a divine avenger! Trololol! Actually it removes costumes in LD, but still, it'd be weird having a little striker have huge swings that hit way beyond its range.

But for shields, I don't see why not (Not exactly sure why either, but hey).

@Severage The game kinda

@Severage The game kinda forgets about costumes during Lockdown anyways.

Not that I support costume weapons, it seems a little too...unnecessary.

Costume shields, however, are something I can work with. Plus one for costume shields!

I thought the weapons part

I thought the weapons part would be rejected by alot, but the Costume Shield thing need to be implemented, its the same as armor costumes.

Everybody wants Shield Costumes!

As always I'm ought to put big -1 to such suggestion whenever I spot one.
It would look extremely stupid if, for example, knight shoots with Blitz Needler costumed as Zapper - bullets would come out from air around the gun barrel, not from it. Imagine Flourish costumed as Rocket Hammer - knight would stab monsters with hammer - pure nonsense.

I'd rather see more weapon/shields reskins - like Scissor Blade in case of Leviathan.
Would be nice if such reskins were rare drops to provide collectors with something to hunt for.

Didn't you read the thread?

Didn't you read the thread? We've pretty much said that weapons skins would be stupid looking, but shield costumes. Shield costumes are still a good, and much shared idea.

+1 to shields

Always wanted to use a shield that was effective while using a costume one to match my set.

Pardon the rebump...

Was using search to see if anyone had posted the idea of a Costume slot for shields before I posted anything about it. This was the first such thread the search function brought up. So, rather than making a new topic, I just want to add my voice here that costume shields would be nice.

As to the weapon thing...I wouldn't want to see one weapon made to look like another, but some kind of cosmetic mod that adds a particle effect or colour change to weapons might be pretty cool.
