ok i found out by my studies that most of the GM,S names are roman names or greek it wasnt hard till i stumbled apon the story of romulus and remes (roarmulus twins) because i was surprised to see that romulus and remus were just like the names of the (roarmulus twins) then the idea popped up in my head the game (spiralknights) is based on roman and greeks, and i think ceasar was jellyking and snarby was the menataur but vanaduke is probly when the fall of the romans happened eh idk but since thats the subject or charististics of the game spiralknights then why cant we have roman and greek armor and weps im serouis here really i know the angelic helms are just like the helms of the greeks and romans this is agrevating i want roman and greek weps, armor, shields out now its the main thing about the game so why cant we have those weps here that are baed on the romans and greeks!.//_'

First, the Snarbolax is

First, the Snarbolax is nothing like a bull, or a man for that matter, let alone a half man half bull hybrid in a maze. It's based on the story of the Jabberwocky.

The Royal Jelly/Jelly Cubes is moreso based on slimes being a staple enemy in RPGs.

Lord Vanaduke's not even REMOTELY related to Roman culture.

Roarmulus Twins are based on Romulus and Remus in name only.

Nick has stated on the forums that Greavers are based on demon youkai from Japanese mythology.

Devilites are based on the stereotypical American blue collar workforce.

Well your answer is WRROOOOONGGGGG.

That, and it'd be kinda borin' to have everythin' themed after classical Rome.

Took out anything remotely related to Rome.

Trying to integrate more than 3 cultures with obvious visuals will make the game a little too complicated detail-wise, not to mention giving devs trouble in choosing WHAT from each culture to use...

That aside, anyone else from a culture NOT used will instantly claim racism for nor having their culture in there>problems.

If anything,

Psychodestroyer's last point is the most pertinent of all.

That aside, anyone else from a culture NOT used will instantly claim racism for nor having their culture in there>problems.

I think we'd all prefer having a secular game with some cultural influences, albeit not enough for players to come to the verdict of blatant cultural favoritism.
That being said, it's probably best to avoid veering too much towards one culture, although we can have minor aspects of culture influencing our gameplay - such as the Maedate adapted from the Japanese feudal era, or popular references such as Carroll's "Jabberwocky" in the Twisted Snarble Barb, or the Grintovec line having Slovenian mountain names.

Again, best to keep each culture's references to a minimum.
