The build I'm looking for is an all round build, a build that won't be weak to anything and won't be strong against one specific enemy.
Everything listed is being built, everything is in the 3* phase. I'll also list my perfered UV after, even though none of them have any UVs currently.

Chaos Cowl & Chaos Cloak (Perfered Increased Shadow Defence OR Increased Status Resistence)
Ironmight Plate Shield (Perfered Increased Shadow Defence)
Dread Venom Striker (Perfered Attack Speed Increase)
Nova Driver / Blitz Needle (Perfered Charge Time Reduction)
Penta-Heart Pendant (I don't have any as of now, nor do I have Trinket Upgrade Slots)

Minimal Net Abilities:
Charge Time Reduction: Very High (4 pts)
Damage Bonus: Medium (2 pts)
Health Bonus: +22

Maximum Net Abilties:
Charge Time Reduction: Maximum! (8 pts)
Damage Bonus: Medium (2 pts)
Health Bonus: +22
Increased Shadow Defence: Maximum! (8 pts)
Net Increased Status Resistence: Maximum! (8 pts, 4 pts for 2 stats)

As far as I can tell, the main problems with this build would be the difficulty, but that comes at another time. Another problem would be Shadow defence, but I don't have any trouble with Undeads or Fiends. Yet. Something that could also be of a problem would be relying too much on UVs.

Defence against dage type

Defence against dage type uv's are lack luster. A max will perhaps save you 1-2bars of damage, for an exorbitant price. If you want your armour set to cover absolutely every damage source, consider a Divine Veil with a Skolver coat. Divine veil has shadow/elemental, and skolver has piercing/normal. This is arguably the best general purpose set ingame.

However, if you wanted the chaos set for the all around bonus, take care of being hit by any status causing enemies. 14+ seconds of fire/freeze/shock is never good. And since you are aiming for a loaout with more guns, consider the gunner line gear. Even one piece would be good, and grants your guns med asi/damage. Not necessary, of course.

A chaos set is nice because of the universal bonus. But it lacks the stats to give your weapons the extra oomph it may need. Cover these bases with trinkets, adding gun damage/asi depending on the type of gun used. Since you have no damage, and a inbuilt asi, go for the damage trinkets. Heart pendants are nice and all, but only useful in pvp or when you achieved vh asi/ctr on your weapons and don't require any trinket bonuses anymore.

Same thing with armour, shields do not benefit from damage type uv's. And there is not a general purpose shield that fits everywhere well. You'll need a shield for each damage type. For a beginner, this is what I would suggest. Owlite for elemental defence. Bristling buckler for piercing, and skelly for shadow. Plate shield lines are fine, but it is advised to have one shield for each damage type.

Weapons:

Dvs is a fine weapon, but it is normal. Read Bopp's guide on damage types on the wiki;search Jdavis for his page.

Blitz is the piercing gun with highest dps, but that comes at a cost of mobility. Best used when charged, it roots your knight in place while you spray in one direction. Not a problem in T2, but gets rough in T3. Consider a callahan for safer pierce gun, or a flourish line.

Nova driver is a great elemental gun, a solid choice.

I noticed a lack of shadow damage. You'll need it to deal with gremlins better, since they get a large buff from T2 to T3. Consider acheron, gran faust, umbra, and sentenza.

Rope, Lamp oil...

Thanks for the input. I'll try to keep it in mind when changing around my build. But, I do have another question. For a third weapon, I was thinking of a Bomb. I tried to work on a Deconstruction because I have a very bad time with Mecha Knights. The bomb only made the problem worse (push). I also tried the Haze Bomb. I didn't like it. Charge time is very long and it just doesn't feel powerful or useful. We need more bombs. Everything seems to default to the Deployable Nitrogen Bomb, Freezing Mist, and The Fire And Flames. Still need more bombs.

If only there was a handgun with a random number generator built in and, using that, shoots a projectile that does Pierce, Shadow, or Elemental damage. That would be interesting.

mecha knights

Use the Nitronome, you may think it's bad just because of normal damage but it's a great weapon, especially for arenas.

Nitro is good for mechas, and

Nitro is good for mechas, and so are the haze bombs you mentioned. Ash of Agni and Voltaic Tempest are great bombs to use on mechas. They don't have the dps of swords or the like, but they ensure a safe and steady amount of damage being dealt to the mechas.

4 Star is powerful.

Bump, and an update.

Recently aquired a Quicksilver Mail from the Twins. I really like fighting the twins, and nuking around with Quicksilvers in the stage. I didn't want Pulsar because of how abused it is, so I got me a Quicksilver Mail. Though weaker, I kinda like it. I don't know why though, it just feels nice. Looks nice with the Elemental Hood, so that brings 2 more possible loadout ideas.

Mercurial Mail + Chaos Hood
Advantages: DMG+, CTR+, Movement Speed (MVS?)+, Pierce Defence+, Negates Shock Vulnerability and adds Shock Resistence.
Disadvantages: Doesn't overpower DMG, doesn't overpower CTR, still weak to other Status effects, Loses Elemental Defence.

And, because Demon fueled inspiration.
Mercurial Mail + Divine Viel
Advantages: MVS+, Blocks all damage types, Max shock resistence, better overall Status effect defence, Fiend Damage Bonus.
Disadvantages: Fiend damage doesn't help, still no DMG and CTR overpowering, Not as glass cannony as I'd like.

Or I can just keep the plan of Chaos+Chaos. I still have yet to encounter T3.
By the way, upgraded Striker to Vile Striker. I feel like Rambo. Such a big change.

I would go for a shivermist

I would go for a shivermist buster if I were you, just so that you'll get into more successful duke parties with ease.

I'd wait up on making a nitronome if I were you. Weapon balances are coming.
