So I was rolling some clean items (that I'm using, not selling) just to try and get some useful UV's.

BTS pierce max 4th try :D, then I tried my Callahan and my gigawatt pulsar (I know the title says Polaris, I'm heating it for one :P)

Callahan I have CTR high, gig-pulsar CTR med

My question is how useful is CTR on these guns? Would it be better to reroll and hope for say ASI on the Callahan or construct on pulsar?

Pulsar line seems more used for the initial shots, and Callahan knocking you on your rump with it's charge seems like it could cause more harm than good, but could they be useful? Or is it better to just try again?

completely useless

Polaris charge is just an expanded bullet with more damage.

Callahan charge will screw you over 99% of the time.

:O

Those two weapons are best wielded with ASI. All CTRS should mainly be on alchemers and your blitz.

Polaris has potential

Polaris with CTR actually has some nice potential.

While the Polaris charge shot is an expanded bullet with more damage... its a POINT-BLANK expanded bullet with more damage. A lot of the time, a Pulsar fails horribly when enemies are too close to allow the bullets to expand. The Charge Shot still retains the expanded bullets knockback, and can be used to push enemies back to where the expanded bullets can have an effect.

Or you can do what most people do when enemies are in close quarters: Split some skulls in twain with a blade of their choosing.

Callahan charge is not useless

The charge shot on the Callahan has noticeably more range than the normal shot, so it could be used to snipe things from a distance. It also has blast radius to hit multiple mobs with, and can potentially stun several mobs at once. The part where it knocks you backwards can be a double edged sword; It can save you from a fatal attack or you can send yourself into a fire trap....
